“My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Tavern on the Lake for Hightstown, our 150th town.
Great eats and comfort food in a place that is at the center of the town. They have a fantastic beer selection on draft that rotates over time. For the fall season, we had a Hot Toddy and Spiked Cider. The French dip sandwich and crab cakes were great.
When there's warmer weather, they have a great outdoor patio too!“

“We needed a place to get together after a game with a lot of people. The Colonial didn’t hesitate when I said 20 people. We came and they sat us in the back so we could all be together. Phil and Pedro were an amazing team. They organized our checks by family and all of our food came out hot, fast and delicious. So very thankful for this option in the area!“

“Being a meat cutter by trade in the Air Force, having a hard time cutting a $45 med/rare filet is hard to swallow. The fact it was served already cut, apparently was the first clue to be prepared, this may take a minute. Flavor was better, but still needed to ask for s&p. Whipped potatoes amazing! French Onion soup as well. Rib appetizer out of this world! Don't buy the chicken nuggets although the presentation basket was a nostalgic touch. Macncheese side was incredible! Recommend the Wood-double Bourbon.“
“We stayed here so we could go to Six Flags. Really nice people and great customer service ! The front desk was very accommodating and helpful and the restaurant/ bar personnel were extremely sweet! Not many options to eat but what we had was actually fresh and surprisingly good for a small hotel. Free parking and laundry room were a big plus. Very quiet neighborhood and some weddings were happening while we stayed but I basically heard no noise from guests or was bothered by loud music. Really recommend!“

“We always have a great dining experience at Sycamore Grill. It's a small restaurant and sitting is limited during the winter, but they do offer outdoor seating during the rest of the year. Food is delicious. They do seem to change their menu around some times. Loved the Reubens they had, but they are no longer on the menu. Fortunately their French Onion Soup is still on it! I get it every time I go! I really enjoyed the Nachos and the Tuna Tower. The burgers are fantastic too! Our waitress our last visit was so attentive and nice.“

“My Wife & I dined at Orchard Park on Friday Evening, she had the Chicken, I had the Filet, both were outstanding. More outstanding was Evan our server. In all our years we've never had a better server ANYWHERE. His knowledge of the food served at Orchard Park and the differences and similarities of Chef David Burke's other restaurants was very informative. Evan offered some suggestions/alternates for some items on the menu that my Wife was unsure about and his suggestions were perfect and just what she was looking for. His tableside presentation of our meal included putting the finishing touches on the Clothesline Bacon right in front of us was a real treat. Evan made sure that our glasses were never empty and and that at no time were we unsatisfied with our dining experience. His Service was A++ and they have a real Gem with him on their roster. We will be requesting to sit in his section on our next visit to Orchard Park.“

“We had a nice time celebrating my son's surprise 21st birthday at Grillestone. Jose and staff were all very nice and easy to work with and they even helped pull off the surprise. Since it was a 21st Birthday, I wanted to keep it casual and wanted food that my son enjoys when hanhing out. Jose was accommodating and I ordered all different appetizers as the meal. We had plenty of food and it came out all night long as discussed just needed a little bread in between (lol) and we even had leftovers to take home as well. We had a variety of pizza, fried calamari, avacado toast, wings, mac & cheese, nachos, sliders & fries, quesadilla & Ceasar Salad, Great staff, food, drinks all night long. The only thing missing was the band/ DJ but the weather didn't cooperate that night. Thanks again and we look forward in coming back!!!“

“If you're looking for a new and different dining experience in town, look no further than "Just Restaurant"! This hidden gem (literally hidden behind the BP gas station on Route 9 South in Old Bridge) boasts a fantastic selection of dishes. The food at "Just" is truly delicious and of excellent quality. From the appetizers to the desserts, every course is carefully prepared and presented beautifully. The chefs clearly know what they're doing here. The menu is diverse, offering something for everyone, and the prices are fair. The restaurant has a stylish and modern look, with sophisticated lighting and elegant furnishings. The Owner's invested a lot of time and money creating this warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, if your are looking for a restaurant that delivers on all fronts, give "Just" a try. My family and I were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be going back soon.“

“The Bagel Nook Southaven MS– where the lines are long, but don’t worry, they’re moving faster than your kid can eat a plate of fries. Seriously, the crew here is like a well-oiled machine – no one’s standing around looking lost, everyone’s working with purpose and precision. We ordered four items: 3 sandwiches and, of course, one child who insisted on getting chicken nuggets and fries because, apparently, we’ve created a monster who doesn’t understand that a bagel place might actually serve bagels. I went for the steak and eggs on a wheat everything bagel. Hubby and our son went for the flaming hot Cheetos bagel sandwiches – "The Wrecker" and "The Promise Land." The latter definitely took the crown, probably because the combination of flaming hot Cheetos and bagel is a combo I never knew I needed. All of the bagels were surprisingly chewy, in a good way, like, "Hmm, this is different, but I kind of like it." You can definitely tell these aren’t the bagels you find in the frozen section at the grocery store. And as for the nuggets and fries? Well, my daughter gave them a thumbs up, but if you're going to a bagel joint, maybe just stick to the bagels. I’m pretty sure she was just in it for the fries, honestly. Now, onto the wallet… our trip to the Bagel Nook set us back $65.50. That's about $12 per item, plus tip. So yeah, not exactly a budget breakfast, but it’s nice to have someone else cook once in a while, right? The food is definitely a treat, but let’s just say we’re sticking to simpler bagels next time. Would I go again? Yes, for sure. Would I go every weekend? Probably not. But for a fun, once-in-a-while breakfast adventure, this place is a definite win.“
