A minor point but the restaurant had a smell to it walking in. It was a little off-putting but I know that restaurants, depending on their layout, can't really control smells. I mean have you ever been to a Subway that didn't smell like bread? The food was tasty when we got it, but the wait was a bit long for what we ordered. Plus the amount of food we got was a little disappointing especially for specialty rolls that come at a premium. Too many other amazing places...
Been a regular here since their early years. Everything is always so fresh and delish at this Japanese restaurant. Sushi Hana does not cut corners yet their prices, to me, resemble that of a good value - especially in Montclair for its location and quality! They have parking in the rear by the bank when it’s closed but you have to pay on weekends. There is a municipal parking ramp across the street. This review is long overdue! It’s my fav sushi place in Montclair. You are able to order their frozen dumplings to make home as well!I found this place back in 2020 and I’ve been hooked ever since. My go to is the negimayaki, shrimp tempura rolls and sweet potato rolls. Their sweet potato rolls are out of this world. After eating at other sushi spots, you will always find yourself coming back to Sushi Hana for theirs.
