I love this place, their sushi is fresh and their cooked food is delicious! very underrated place! I have been ordering lunch here for the past four years, and it is the best affordable, fast lunch I have found in Upper Montclair. Try the pineapple fried rice, the pad thai and the spicy salmon roll. Lunch special comes with a soup and salad. (the dressing in the salad is great)
Food was basic, nothing special. The avocado salad and rainbow roll were fine. Beware, a tip was added before the credit card was run, with then a spot for another tip to be added to the credit card slip. Check your receipts and credit slips.
I always recommended this place until today….i dined in MYSELF and everything was good. Until i saw they added a tip WITHOUT telling. I work in a restaurant and always encourage my staff to let the customers know if there is an auto gratuity (our establishment adds it ONLY when it’s a party of 6 or more) I know I look young, but I was planning on tipping. I think it’s really upsetting that can’t be communicated.
