Stopped in for a quick sausage roll for lunch and the pastry was so flaky and delicious. This store is so authentic and has everything you could possibly want from a pie shop. Sweet and savory, next time I’ll pick up a larger steak and ale pie to bring home for family dinner. Very excited to have stumbled upon this local gem.
My hubby and I took the hour drive to Montclair, because we had just learned about this little shop, a few days ago. To say that this shop was amazing, is an understatement. The second we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff! And the shop is so adorable! Has all of the cravings that my British hubby has been craving. Unfortunately half of the goodies we bought didn’t make it home. They were gobbled down in the car. This gem of a shop needs more recognition!...
What an absolute gem! Walking into The Pie Store feels like stepping right into a warm, charming movie scene. The shop itself is quaint, cozy, and full of British charm, but the real star of the show -besides the food — is the atmosphere. Frankie and his wife, Samantha, make you feel like family the second you walk in. Watching Samantha seamlessly mix pie crust while managing vendors, greeting customers, and sharing playful banter with Frankie is worth the trip alone!
