“I was next door getting food. I said gotta swing by. Sounds interesting. Glad I did. Fresh fruits & vegetables of all kind. Many shakes,smoothies, & bowls available. I got the “Tarzan” Raspberries, Strawberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Banana, Orange Sherbet, Raspberry Sherbet was amazing…. NOTE:use street parking. I parked in train station area and paid $7 for the hour. I think it’s only $1-$2 to park on street.“

“This is currently my favorite spot to order food from that is located near my job. I even got my colleagues to order from here and they love it as well. There isn’t a lot of food selection, but still would recommend because they’re so delicious. As for their smoothies, they always taste so fresh and they serve large portions. Whether you’re getting delivery or going to the shop for takeout it’s an easy quick process.“

“Our bowls were nicely frozen and creamy (not watery) and were well made and delicious. The space was spotless, so clean, even the bathroom. I can tell the conscientiousness of the employees by how clean the place was, how polite they were and how well the bowls tasted and were made. This was the best experience of all the playa bowls I've been to, and I've been to a lot of different locations.“

“The place was empty for 1230pm on a Monday. Maybe because it was raining. Service and food was great! I never had any problems with the food at any Playa bowls. It's always consistent! Tons of flavor and crunch! I ordered the Nica bowl this time to try something different. It tasted great! Still, my favorite is the coco power bowl. Parking is a bit of a pain. You are in downtown Summit.“

“I'm so glad a location opened so close to home. Before this, the closest one was in Livingston. The smoothies are fantastic and the food is pretty good too. I wasn't expecting the food to be that tasty, coming from a smoothie place. Not only did I like the food, but so did my 2 year olds...talk about picky eaters (they love the chicken!).

Great smoothies and great food, what else can you ask for? But wait, there's more! As good as their product is, the staff is even better. Each and every one of them are super friendly and always have smiles on their faces. They are very accommodating for my kids and are such generally nice people.

“In addition to the tasty toasts and healthy smoothies -- with many diverse offerings and flavor profiles -- I loved the service more than anything.

The one item we didn't completely love when we went was our chai. Like many western chais, this one was too sweet. (To me, once it's that sweet, you lose all those aromatic notes of the ginger and cinnamon, but that's beside the point).

When I approached the workers with our feelings on the drink, they were quick to make a change without charging us. They completely remade the drink with less syrup, and it made a huge difference.

So, we we will definitely be back for a second visit! It's a great atmosphere, with fun options, and a helpful staff. Remaking that drink was really nice and showed they will do what's in their power to make your experience the best it can be.“

But I tried a different smoothie and I love you can swap out some ingredients!

“I'd like to take a moment to recognize the *outstanding service* of this locally owned cafe. We have been in contact with the owner, Chris, to help us send nutritious treats (the most delicious smoothies in town!) to the heroes on the front line of this unfortunate pandemic at Saint Barnabas Hospital. My father's been fighting COVID and due to appropriate hospital regulations, we have not been able to visit him - the incredible doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, technicians, and support staff have been faced with not only caring for patients but being their bedside cheerleaders. I've gotten feedback from the nurses that the smoothies are a huge hit! Not only are they tasty, but they are extremely nutritious! There's a huge variety to choose from and the mechanism for ordering/delivering was so easy (they even attached personalized notes from us!) that we've utilized their services several times to help treat the hospital heroes. Also, of note, is their special attention to sanitary mechanisms as they prepare food/smoothies during this scary time. *The cafe has donated a tremendous amount to the hospital heroes as well, and for that, they must be commended and supported during this difficult time for local businesses.“

“The food is absolutely delicious!! I ordered lunch boxes for some local heroes and was helped by Mary. Mary was awesome and completed my order in a professional and timely manner. I received a complimentary lunch box from David so I could see the presentation and try the food that I purchased for the local heroes. I was completely blown away! They were prompt, professional and the local heroes LOVED the FOOD and SERVICE! My box was amazing! I received a breaded chicken cutlet sandwich with condiments. Also inside my box was a pasta salad and a fruit salad. But, it didn't end there, I also had 2 of the most delicious cookies I have ever tasted and a bag of chips. I was so happy with the quality, taste and amount of food that I received. I also wanted to try the takeout dinners. I ordered chicken marsala, chicken parmesan, garlic shrimp, penne vodka, rice and salads. Wow! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did. The food is truly amazing! And when you're paying $15 for a smoothie you should get everything you pay for. Could be more consistent. Depending on who makes it depend on how it taste. The atmospheric could be a little better. The place is very dark. All they need is a light is a couple lights in the dining room.“
