They use the highest quality provisions with which their expert culinary staff prepares taste bud orgasms. “I had an amazing experience at Playa Bowls and had to give it 5 stars, especially because of the service. From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and smooth, but what really stood out was one employee in particular—Chloe Dolan.

Chloe was seriously awesome. She was super friendly, patient, and made the whole experience way better. You can tell she actually cares about the customers and takes pride in what she’s doing. She had a great attitude, was quick with everything, and made sure my order was perfect.

It’s rare to come across service that genuinely stands out like that, and Chloe definitely made a big impression. Because of her, I’ll 100% be coming back. If you go to Playa Bowls, I hope you get served by Chloe—you won’t be disappointed.“

“Had a wonderful dining experience with polite and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The Malay and Thai food was excellent with great flavors and freshness.

For appetizers, we ordered the veg roti canai, veg fried dumplings, and papaya salad, all were delicious and a perfect start to the meal. I am a vegetarian and I love roti canai but most places add chicken broth to it, so I am not able to eat it. I was so pleasantly surprised that this restaurant has a vegetarian version. It was so good that we ordered another plate of roti canai. For the main course, we tried the Thai basil, Thai pineapple curry, and chilli chicken. The Thai basil and pineapple curry were especially flavorful and paired very well with rice.

The only slight disappointment was my husband's order of chilli chicken, which turned out to be a dry entrée and not the best choice to have with rice but it was on us for not confirming before ordering.

Overall, the food, service, and experience were excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place for great Malay and Thai cuisine. I definitely want to go back for another round of roti canai.“

“My husband and I went for brunch rather than dinner. Paul was our server, he was incredibly nice, always checked in on us, and made some great recommendations on what to order. We ordered chicken and waffles, and the Asian stir fry. Both were incredible. Drinks were just as great! It's a great ambiance during the day, I can only imagine how it is at night. 12/10 place“

“The curry puff appetizer had excellent texture and flavour. My Thai iced tea tasted good if a bit stronger than I am used to at the start, but the flavour balanced as the ice melted. Our mains were decent, except that some of the beef pieces in my Pad Thai were overly chewy.

A common issue I have with restaurants in the US is that servers like to talk a lot and then fail to refill my water during my meal. I had no such issue here.“

“Best Shrimp with String Beans I’ve had in a long time! The portions are generous, and the shrimp are actually large, not the tiny ones you find elsewhere. The sauce is savory with just a hint of sweetness and ginger . Perfect over a bowl of steamed white rice!!“

It’s was about 30 min drive home but still hot and fresh. NOTE:use street parking. I parked in train station area and paid $7 for the hour. I think it’s only $1-$2 to park on street. The grilled pineapple burrata app is heavenly!The PEI muscles are the freshest I’ve had. Salmon Club is huge portion! The polenta fries are sooo unique. BYOB (&) they’ve started to offer local wines. Tried the Coffee Cab Franc ~ perfect complement to the meal. Toasted Coconut Latte & Strawberry Tres Leches to end the meal (again deliciously unique). Sooooo, sooooo good!“

“My family has been coming here weekly for about 3 years now. The staff is extremely friendly, and they always talk to and play with our children (2 and 4). We always do sushi, but our kids do the udon noodles and sometimes the sesame/general tso chicken and we have not been disappointed. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.“
