Pub 199 Reviews
The clams are always good but it has definitely gotten too pricey. Granted prices have gone up but not like this. A little pathetic you even have to pay for water. Love the place and beautifully decorated fot the holidays but my husband said no way will he go back.

Pub 199 remains a popular spot for great food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It has a large parking lot and an open floor plan, making it ideal for watching games on the many TV screens. The decor features a museum-like display of animals, giving the place a unique vibe. The menu includes seafood like steamers, crab legs, and lobster, with prices on the higher side. Customers also enjoy non-seafood options such as a bacon cheeseburger, chicken fingers, and eggplant Parm, which are more reasonably priced. The restaurant now takes credit cards and offers coffee and dessert, adding to the menu updates. Service has improved and is now friendly and welcoming, with a longtime staff member turned owner providing attentive care. The pub is nicely decorated with various taxidermies, some of which may be unsettling to some. The food is generally good, with fried calamari being a standout—juicy and crispy. While some dishes like the steak might lack flavor, the steak is cooked to order, and A1 steak sauce is available. The pub is kid-friendly, with children enjoying meals like chicken fingers and fries, and the atmosphere suits all ages. It can be busy and noisy at times, but diners are not rushed, making it a good place for families. Cash remains the only payment method. Recent positive changes and friendly staff have kept the pub a favorite local spot.
