El Merengue Reviews
Food is really good and there is a large variety of it to choose from. the only thing that I didn't care for was the fried chicken.. a little too much coating.. but otherwise the portions are plentiful and the food is very good...The bar jumps on the weekend (never been)..but is very lively on the weekend..

El Merengue offers a taste of Dominican cuisine on the East Coast, with delicious dishes like Locrio de cerdo con moro de guandules. The food is great, with excellent flavor, quantity, and price. Customers can enjoy a lot of variety of food, everything that the Dominican eats, rice, mangú, puree, yucca, chicharrón, stewed chicken, and delicious pig ears, with sour and spicy lemon. The place is comfortable, and the atmosphere is excellent. The staff, though busy, are polite and courteous. The small space can get crowded on weekends, but the music adds to the experience. The only downside is the lack of organization during busy times, making ordering a bit challenging, and the attention is not at all friendly. The bathrooms could be expanded and kept clean. Despite this, the overall experience is enjoyable, and customers appreciate the hard work and service provided.
