Friendly staff, delicious Beyond Burger wrap w sweet potato tots, and a deeeeelish freshly made strawberry lemonade. Highly recommend! I’m keeping this place in my fav saves. If I’m ever back in Newark NJ I’m def stopping back. That drink was so perfect for the hot day!“

“dirty place....the chef uses his bare hands to prepare and cook meals then denied multiple customers for food requests like 8pm like 🤦‍♀️..... they never clean while cooking or preparing instead they wait to clean up at 8pm ....gross only meal I was able to eat was a kibob salad because there meat is disgusting 😑“

You don’t even need to speak to anyone because when you scan the QR Code, order & pay for everything (takes the awkward who’s paying) & your order arrives in no time. I was started with Complimentary Chips and Salsa and it was very fresh and tasty, as I placed my order with a well spoken server by the name of Bri she suggested that I should try the Wild Caught Shrimp Soup and she was spot on. The Soup was flavorful and it didn’t disappoint. I absolutely recommend The Patio On Sussex for all to try. My Compliments to the Chef and Owners. “Food is good, I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I do however recommend that you ask for the price of drinks prior to ordering especially if it’s not during happy hour. Drinks are way too expensive. The pricese are not listed on the menu One glass of Sangria $19.50. I was caught of guard with that one , imagine my surprise when I received my bill seeing that sangria was $39 for two glasses. Had I known that I would have just drank water and bought my own sangria for less at the local liquor store or went to a different bar. Also; there are a few things on the menu with no prices listed. Just ask for the price before ordering . I feel that the prices for the food such as lamb chops and seafoods are fair, but the drinks. Nope; Sorry not sorry. $19.50 for one glass of sangria is out right ridiculous and unnecessary. Other than the overpriced drink; everything else is good.“
