“I had such a great experience at Columbia BBQ Restaurant & Bar! I stopped in during my lunch break and everything was absolutely delicious.

I ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce, which was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. It came with yellow rice, pinto beans, and fresh avocado, and the whole plate was seasoned just right — comforting, filling, and fresh. I also had a passion fruit margarita with sugar on the rim, and it was AMAZING — sweet, tropical, and super refreshing.

My friend had the beef steak with onions, also served with yellow rice, pinto beans, and avocado, and he loved it. The steak was tender and well-seasoned. He paired it with a gin and tonic, which was made perfectly.

What really made the visit special was the owner, who personally served us. She was so friendly and attentive, and you could tell she really cares about her customers and the food.

Cooked just the way I liked it, and my sandwich had plenty. I just figured nowadays you would get more bang for your bucks, no, you don't. It seems that my egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich was all bread, 1 egg, 1 slice of cheese, and 2-3 strips of ?. For the price of the sandwich, I expected more. So I'll just stick to Bloomfield Bagels. The prices are a bit cheaper, and you get added condiments (salt, pepper, or ketchup).“

“I made a reservation here for a work dinner. The ambiance was super nice. Friendly, helpful service the whole time and amazing food. I think we got close to one of everything on the drink, appetizer and entree menus. My favorites were the rosemary margarita, shoestring fries, spicy sausage pizza, butternut squash ravioli, and the hangar steak. There was some kind of mint salad that was super good. I haven't ever tasted a salad like that before, so it was a cool experience. We did everything family style with a few people ordering pork chops or a cheeseburger for themselves. The total with all 8 of us getting multiple drinks and tons of apps + entrees shared between us plus tax and tip was $810, which is more than fair for how much we ate + drank and how good the food and service was. Will definitely come back or recommend to anyone looking for a location to host a work/birthday/celebratory dinner or date.“

We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. “I had the pink lady griddle cakes (gluten free and dairy free) and chicken sausage. I was very surprised at how delicious the griddle cakes were. They had a crispy edge and were moist and flavorful. The pink lady apples were cooked and distributed through the griddle cakes. I tend to be vary of places that are recommend on social media but this place lives up to the hype. The griddle cakes are flavorful and sweet, no syrup needed.

“My friends and I were attending an event at the NJ PAC. Not being familiar with the area, I researched places to eat nearby. We chose THE YARD because of the reviews we read. The experience was simply amazing. Every table was taken so we waited a few minutes and we were so glad that we did. We had been greeted by the owner and he quickly sat us when a table became available because I had expressed concerns about being on time for the performance. We each ordered a different meal and each of us raved about our selections all evening. I had the lamb burger and it was one of the best I have ever eaten: crispy with a lovely juicy interior. The each sauce was flavorful and the French Fries were the icing on the cake. We will be back and I would highly recommend THE YARD to everyone.“

“Made dinner reservations and we got an amazing family style table in this really amazing, rustic looking, happy vibes place! Noise levels were on the higher end and you had to speak loudly to hear the other person across the table!

José our server was friendly, attentive, and quick with his service. This is a very kid friendly place - so highly recommended for families with kids. At the same time, a great place for date night too.

An extremely well priced menu, with great options is how I'd describe their menu. Our order consisted of Crostini Misti ($10.50), Calamari ($18), Funghi di Prato ($12.50) - an excellent mushroom salad, for appetizers.

Mains included a very tasty (and slightly cheesy) Spinach Gnocchi ($18.50), Penne Arrabiata ($16), and Tagliatelle al Ragu ($18). Kids thoroughly enjoyed their butter pasta which they polished within a few mins!

Overall, we had a great time at this place, and I can clearly see Malatesta become our go-to Italian dinner place on weekdays or weekends. Great service, excellent quality food, and a very well priced menu! Can't ask for more.“
