“Coming back to Corto felt extra special. We got married here last November 2024, and we just came back last Thursday to experience dinner with our friends visiting from Manila. I insisted on bringing them here because I wanted them to see and feel what our wedding was like and because I simply love this restaurant.

The food, as always, was exceptional and never disappointing. Authentic Italian flavors, beautifully prepared and full of warmth. It was also our first time experiencing Corto during dinner, and the cozy evening ambiance made the night feel even more intimate and special.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. They even surprised us with a complimentary appetizer after I mentioned that we had our wedding here. It was such a thoughtful gesture and honestly made us feel so touched and remembered.

Corto will always hold a special place in our hearts—not only for the wonderful food and service, but for the memories we made here. We’re so happy to have returned, and we’ll definitely be back again.“

“Went to Maletesta Trattoria recently, and though I really wanted to love it, my honest review is that it was ok, but nothing riveting. Though the atmosphere is just what you'd hope for in an nyc Italian restaurant, the 100% lack of any form of air conditioning made eating there on a hot, humid, August evening, very unpleasant. We were seated right along side the retractable glass doors, which you would think would be breezy and pleasant, but with the humid heavy summer air, myself and dining partner were sweating from the moment we say down, till we left.
The pasta was ok, but significantly under seasoned, so it ended up tasting bland.
The service however was lovely. Make of that what you will.
In the fall or winter, I'm sure it would be a very cozy experience, and I recommend ordering something more spicy than you normally would, like the pasta arrabbiata, as it probably won't be as spicy as you think.

“Such a great dining experience! We came with our two 7 year olds at 5:45 and were sat right away. While we were there, there was a 30-45 min wait so we got in at the perfect moment! They were happy to make spaghetti in red sauce off the menu for our kiddos. The Negroni with prosecco was delicious. My pasta was truly delicious and the burrata appetizer was so good. The tiramisu was good and the non flour chocolate cake was exceptional! It’s nice to find actually delicious restaurants that are willing to accommodate kiddos. Perfect quiet location too!!“

It would only be fitting to host his repass there and when we called Byron to let him know he passed, he quickly helped my family with arrangements to host our family and friends in their private room. The food was cooked to order, absolutely delicious and the service our family and friends received from the staff was impeccable! Mostly everyone had to try the his favorite dish, the" veal martini" and loved it. The Wanko family would like to take this opportunity to send our sincere thanks to Byron, Jackie, Angelo, Juan Carlos, David, Yahir for their outstanding service to attention and delicious menu cooked to order on such a sad occassion. “First time here. Our waiter dropped the ball but food was good so might give it another chance someday. Valentine's Day so I get it was busy so not an issue with being sat 15 min past our reservation. Hostess was very attentive, taking coats and pulling our chairs. Water staff did provide water promptly but our waiter who passed us several times didn't greet us or take our drink order until after 20 minutes and after greeting a couple who was sat several minutes after we were. Still tipped 20+% but I'm a heavy tipper so when I round 20ish % it means service wasn't great. Maybe pick a wine next time because cocktails were off. Waiter left us hanging after dropping off dessert menu and I was about to change my mind on it and just take the check after waiting too long. Not sure what happened but someone else took over who was much quicker but maybe because it was getting closer to closing time? Happy I stuck around for dessert. The cheesecake was amazing and was the highlight of the evening for me.“
