“We were craving ice cream and my wife mentioned Apple Gate Farms. Without hesitation, we were in the car and on our way with our small pet dog as a tag along. Now the parking lot was packed as this was on the minds of dozens of other families as well. We found a spot in the back and walked to the front serving windows. Luckily every window was open and had a worker. What appeared to be a long wait only took minutes. My wife got A combo of Grand Central Station and vanilla peanut butter. I was simple and just got maple walnut on a cone. Unfortunately, they ran out of whipped cream for the pup but he enjoyed anything he found on the floor. Overall we had a great time and was worth the drive for some good homemade ice cream. Highly recommend but expect a full parking lot and a friendly crowd to greet you when you arrive.“

“Nice gem in Montclair. I stopped in for pistachio flavored gelato after dinner at a restaurant nearby. The flavor was amazing and there were other options to choose from in addition to coffee. There are tables inside and outside to sit at. I look forward to coming back to try other flavors and treats on the menu.“

“Had a great time here after the Montclair Hash run in August 2024. Great beers (particularly enjoyed the keg stand) and amazing pizza (loved the Tim Howard), beautiful outdoor seating and a great ambience all in all. Would love to come back for a proper meal here!“

“The female manager was very nasty to two employees when I was there. She told one of them loud enough for everyone inside the restaurant to hear that he had two strikes and she would send him home and then turned to another worker and said that she was going home too. Wtf, the food was good but that woman needs to go back to the handbook and look at how to speak to employees when patrons are around. I was very uncomfortable and not sure I’ll be back. That is not the way to treat others.“

“Went to this place on Saturday for brunch. The place has a good summer vibe as it’s located in very popular area. I tried their French toast, cappuccino and avocado items. Food taste was okay but I feel there are room for improvements. I would definitely recommend French toast.“

Also, I don't know who reads this but when the angry bald man is there, everything runs a lot smoother so make sure he's there every weekend ?. Great doughnuts too, you can tell they're fresh and they're more bready than greasy. “it was a gorgeous day and we were at Brookdale Dog Park. We looked up dog friendly restaurants. What a great place the food was awesome, the beers were cold and the service was excellent. The prices were so reasonable which is rare in Montclair! and they were so dog friendly! it was our first time there but not the last!“

“This is my family's favorite ice cream place in and around town. They offer so many unique and delicious flavors in addition to the basics. We order delivery from them once a week! We have also bought their ice cream cakes for birthday parties, and guests often ask for a 2nd (and 3rd) slice. No more Carvel cakes for us - haha! Favorite flavors are Cookie Monster, Chocolate Fudge Crunch, Coffee Oreo, Cherry Vanilla, and, when it's on the menu, Fat Elvis. Also, be sure to take home a box of their mini ice cream sandwiches.“

“Was a great morning at Montclair Diner. Enjoyed the last day of summer Jazz and a lively brunch and enjoyed the sultry, soothing voice of Ms. Jacque Johnson and the band that accompanied her. I met the owner Elliot, who was very warm and welcoming. A great experience all around.“
