It has a milder flavor compared to Katz's, which I actually prefer since it allowed me to finish the whole sandwich in one go. Katz's meat is so intensely flavorful that I usually need to take a break and cleanse my palate before I can finish later. This place is a fantastic alternative if you're in Jersey. The prices are reasonable, and the 8 oz option is perfect for satisfying your craving without breaking the bank. The Knish and macaroni salad were delicious as well. They give you delicious pickles. We’ll definitely be returning often. Update January 2026. Stopped by for some pastrami sandwiches. They are still delicious and worth every penny. Hot dog special this week, $2.00. “I live in South Jersey went to Jersey City with my wife and daughter. Saw posting about Carmine’s had to give it a try. The food was outstanding 3 sandwiches and the eggplant rollotnie. The flavor , sauce chicken cutlets , Prosciutto was the best. It’s a 2 hour drive but worth it!!!“

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“My friends and I were attending an event at the NJ PAC. Not being familiar with the area, I researched places to eat nearby. We chose THE YARD because of the reviews we read. The experience was simply amazing. Every table was taken so we waited a few minutes and we were so glad that we did. We had been greeted by the owner and he quickly sat us when a table became available because I had expressed concerns about being on time for the performance. We each ordered a different meal and each of us raved about our selections all evening. I had the lamb burger and it was one of the best I have ever eaten: crispy with a lovely juicy interior. The each sauce was flavorful and the French Fries were the icing on the cake. We will be back and I would highly recommend THE YARD to everyone.“

“Really cute spot and they are so nice. We ordered macarons (chocolate and raspberry) which were perfect and so delicious. We also got an almond and a Nutella croissant. I got their special strawberry matcha which came with strawberry/matcha cold foam which was light and refreshing. My bf ordered a dark mocha latte which he said was really good. We sat outside since the sun was finally out and warm and they brought everything beautifully plated.
The only thing is that parking can be a bit difficult since a lot of the street parking is taken out.“

“We pulled off the highway for a coffee and stumbled upon this gem. The pastry menu is filled with unique items and great flavor combinations. I had the ube pan de sal and the Kashmir cardamom latte with oat milk. I absolutely love both! The location seemed surprising at first, it’s located in a larger office complex, but inside it feels comfortable with warm lighting and plenty of seating. They also sell records and prepared wraps and desserts. Check it out if you’re in the area! I will be sure to stop by next time I’m passing through.“

“Felix is the man and the smoothie and smoothie bowls are always a delicious and healthy bang for your buck, but having had the Spicy Squash and Chicken Noodle Soup, I can safely say this is my favorite spot to grab something tasty and healthy and worth the money, the soup is sooooooo good. I walked it while he was prepping another batch of the squash soup. And it smelled soooooooo oooo o good. The picture of my soup doesn’t do it justice as I’ve eaten the chicken out of it and now I’m sipping on the broth which has the slightest kick to it. I’m obsessed. We didn’t make a reservation, but lucked out getting a table because two minutes after we sat down the line was forming. All I have to say is the service was impeccable!!! The food was amazing!!! The ambiance absolute perfection!! I highly recommend!!“
