“I am gushing over the meal we had here. From amazing craft cocktails to an unforgettable dinner. Raphael, Julia, and Louis spoiled us. The cocktails were in fun glasses and were light and flavorful. The service was impeccable. We let them order for us. Octopus starter, then onto hanger steak, roasted chicken, sea bass, and the pork stew. All incredible with deep rich flavors. We had some great sides, a light salad to finish, and a lovely passion fruit desert. I can't say enough about this place.“

“I’ve eaten here two times. The ladies behind the bar are extremely friendly and attentive. The meals are tasty with generous portions. I’m not a huge fan of French fries, but these are so good and taste homemade! The salad was delicious and the garlic pork chops were excellent. My friend had grilled salmon and enjoyed it. The prices are affordable and they even have a $4 glass of house wine that they fill to the rim; you can’t beat it! My only complaint is that it is extremely warm in there. Other than that, I highly recommend.“

“I love it here! I go here almost every week for when i’m hanging around newark, and the food never disappoints. It tastes amazing, and fresh too. People here are lovely and Amazinf atmosphere, very clean and smells great. Good people and good food, love it.“

“The Food is Wonderful!
The atmosphere is intimate, but Great Vibes. (The venue has 2 levels; downstairs dining area and upstairs lounge area.)
They offer Hookah as well.
There is room for improvement however, as some of the staff in the dining area, don't speak English well, so they require assistance from other staff members when taking an order.
Wouldn't hurt if Drinks were a pinch stronger as well.
Overall, I enjoy myself everytime I visit.“

“I recently moved to the Ironbound and needed to find myself a pizza place. Luckily, this place is only a few blocks from my apartment. It's not very big and doesn't seem to be popular for eat-in dining, but it is always busy with people getting take out. The pizza itself has rather thin crust and the sauce is great. I love their margherita pizza. If you eat there, be prepared to pay for drinks even if you get water. They only have bottled. The only down side is that because it's a small place and busy the service can be slow. Order in advance and then you can pick it up or have it delivered when you're ready to eat. I added photos of the menu for anyone who needs it!“

“I had such an amazing experience at Peri Peri! The food was honestly so flavorful and fresh, everything was cooked perfectly and you can really taste the quality. The chicken was juicy, the sauces were incredible, and the spice level was just right. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean, and the service was fast.
I also have to say, Abdenour made the whole experience even better. He was so kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. His dedication and positive energy really stood out and made the visit memorable.

“I had the garlic chicken.Really good, but that’s beside the point. Service is extremely bad. Especially the wait time. 1/10. Waiter has a weird attitude, for no reason. Not even a hi or hello, just checked in once the whole time. Wait time felt like hours. Honestly, food is delicious but the waiter was dry and it honestly offended me. Anyway, not recommended.“

“I came into this establishment a bit skeptical to be honest. I am a picky person when it comes to food places ……. But it was the BEST DECISION I have made today. When I first came in, there was no one to greet us. It was only one waitress, and she was working behind the counter, Caring for multiple people. So I ask if there’s a menu I could look at and she handed me one with a smile, I sat down and begin to skim through the menu. Their prices are fantastic and has a HUGE variety of foods. The beef bacon was nice and crispy. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the home fries were absolutely delicious. I 100% found my new breakfast spot. I can’t wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner one day. My picture doesn’t show how crispy or well cooked the food was. But I swear - it was perfect.“

“Love love love love love love love their barbecue! If you get the whole chicken or half a chicken with white rice and fries the rice is not dry!! You know like most places, you can't eat a whole mouth full of rice without choking on it from it being dry? WELL Five Star's rice is so moist that you could literally sit there and gobble down a whole bunch of rice and not have to worry about it being dry as hell and choking on it!!

Parking: It's on the corner of Adams and market so it's very hard to find parking especially if it's after work hours there is absolutely no freaking parking like you have to double Park on market and it's very dangerous to do that because everybody drives like crazy after they get out of work“

“Food is good, I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I do however recommend that you ask for the price of drinks prior to ordering especially if it’s not during happy hour. Drinks are way too expensive. The pricese are not listed on the menu One glass of Sangria $19.50. I was caught of guard with that one , imagine my surprise when I received my bill seeing that sangria was $39 for two glasses. Had I known that I would have just drank water and bought my own sangria for less at the local liquor store or went to a different bar. Also; there are a few things on the menu with no prices listed. Just ask for the price before ordering . I feel that the prices for the food such as lamb chops and seafoods are fair, but the drinks. Nope; Sorry not sorry. $19.50 for one glass of sangria is out right ridiculous and unnecessary. Other than the overpriced drink; everything else is good.“

“The restaurant itself is not much to look at, but it is well laid-out, and the spectacle of the kitchen in the main area keeps you entertained while you wait to be seated. As for the food, the portions are epic, and the flavors are fabulous. The service sometimes seems overwhelmed by the bustle but in fact never ignores you. The restaurant does not serve alcohol but is BYOB, and you can find amazing wines at the Portuguese wine store half a block down the street on the opposite side.“
