“Very good breakfast and deserts, especially for people with a sweet-tooth like myself. The waitresses were friendly, even though it was a holiday. As for atmosphere, I always enjoy diners with that classic 50s/60s feeling, even if I was not alive during those times lmao. Altogether, this is a lovely eatery that I will definitely come back to in the near future.“
“Although seemingly plain on the outside with stucco plastered on its walls, it has a certain charm once you walk in. With a few counter stools, old fashion booths, upbeat workers and great service, this really is a great place to visit just for the environment. As for the food, I would recommend a specialty burger since you can't go wrong with the burger of your choice and fries. However, I wouldn't recommend the American cheese on it. And if you don't particularly like sautéed vegetables, I would shy away from the Italian hot dog. As for the drink, as long as you like ice cream, a milk shake is the right choice for you. However, don't get the orange juice, as my sister described it as tasting like dirty dish water. With some great meal options and stellar service, this place is definitely worth the visit. No one, except for the community, would know it's a hidden gem.“
“It's a diner. It has amazing gluten free. We tried the gf pancakes, gf open faced turkey sandwich, gf chicken parm, and gf chicken fingers. The parm and tenders were crunchy and good. I got the gf cheesecake to go. We forgot how good diner food can be!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.Kid-friendliness: Our kids enjoyed it.“
“Found this spot by searching for diners near Somerset, NJ. What's a visit to NJ without s stop to a diner. This was a great decision. My meal consisted of French toast, bacon, home fries and scrambled eggs with cheese. Everything was delicious. Walk in seat yourself. Our server was very pleasant. Decor on the wall was beautiful. Looks small from the outside, but was the perfect spot!!“
“Good food here, most diners have good food and reasonable prices . Breakfast is really good here and burgers i love getting them from here cause they're fat and tasty.Parking: Plenty of parking across the street, it's a small street.“
“The food and service was awesome. The wait was very quick but I did ask around before I went and my friends told me to go early as the wait might be long. I ended up going right when they opened at 12 I went on a Friday, and it was perfect time I was second in line and sat down right away and my delicious food was in front of me within 10 minutes“
“We've eaten at sunny side up diner several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We've taken out too.The food is good. The chicken quality could be a bit better. The staff and chefs are great. One time the chef showed me an ingredient he used to make something I ordered.Small parking lot and street parking.Parking: Small parking lot“
“The Golden Corner Diner in Bound Brook is a solid choice for a classic diner experience. The food is fresh and delicious, exactly what you crave from a diner. Everything from juicy burgers to fluffy omelets seems to be made with quality ingredients. The staff at Golden Corner gets a thumbs up too. They're attentive and friendly, making sure your coffee cup stays full and your order is correct. They even shine when it comes to handling large groups. The diner can seat a surprising number of people, and the staff manages to keep things running smoothly even during a rush.Overall, while Golden Corner might not be the most innovative diner out there, it delivers exactly what it promises - delicious food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. For a reliable and enjoyable diner meal, Golden Corner is a solid four-star option.“
“We arrived around 5:00 PM on a Thursday. We were the only customers so there was parking on the street and plenty of parking in the back lot. Looking from the outside, this diner has a very nostalgic feel to it.The cook greeted us when we walked in and took our orders immediately. We each ordered the lunch special that consisted of 2 Texas weiners (with everything on it), fries, and a can of soda at a decent price of $12. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and the texas weiners were great! The atmosphere was quiet during the time we went, making it slightly awkward while we were eating, but the experience was great nonetheless. We will definitely come here again!“
“In town on business with my son and stumbled across this jewel. Semi friendly waitress, great food, quick delivery....everything I want!! Came two days in a row, highly recommend the home fries and the 2 egg sandwich on a roll. Wish I could lift this place back home and put it in my neighborhood. No hipster nonsense, just quality!“
“I primarily use them for office lunches. Their hoagies are really very good, and I would consider them a value. This is usually my go to when I'm buying lunch for the office. The food is always so fresh and tastes great. Lisa is awesome and always goes above and beyond. I love supporting small businesses, and they make it so easy to keep coming back. Great food, at a great price AND great service - you can't beat it! Breakfast sandwiches and platters are great too.“
“I had an overall wonderful experience at Colonial Diner. The food was better than your average diner and the atmosphere was very notable. I spoke to who I believe to be the manager there about the place and he pointed out the original floors and tiles in the building. The diner had a long bar stretched across the building with multiple TVs playing movies. The staff was very friendly and my order was taken and came very quickly. I showed up about a little over an hour before closing and the restaurant did not have many people in there. The parking lot was large and had many spots. I came on a Thursday night and the staff was very quick everything was done almost immediately after sitting down.“
“honestly, this place is exactly what you look for in a diner. comfort food & quality. I had a christmas cookie latte (in March) and it was exactly what I pictured and needed #instantsmilesKid-friendliness: changing table present by bathrooms“
“Family owned and operated diner. Clean and quiet with very good atmosphere. As per usual NJ diners, you can find the regular fare like French Dip and Gyros. Always good to 'Disco' the fries (melted cheese and gravy). For a Sunday, it was a bit slow.“
“We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night as we were in the area shopping. We had complete dinners so they came with soup, salad, a drink and dessert. My husband had a fried flounder platter. It came with fries and a vegetable. I had fried shrimp, with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. The food was tasty and plentiful. The service was good.“
“Beautifully decorated, the ambience was lovely. Servers were ever smiling and helpful and helped cater the food options to our taste and requirements. The second time I've been here and needless to say, it's a lovely place with great food and service. Recommend to go when you want a quick meal or are looking for multiple options in one place.“
“The Edison Diner is an extremely solid diner. You definitely get your moneys worth and the food is great. The service was good and the food came out rather fast. The menu is very overwhelming and took a while to tackle, but that's just one of the pros about this place. The French toast is extremely thick and quite good. My buddy got the veal parmesan, and I couldn't stop staring at it. Unfathomable amount of cheese, looked absolutely amazing. Also a surprisingly large portion. It is hard to imagine anyone could be disappointed by this place. It has a lot of food and it does it all well. I also thought it was funny that they had Frasier on the TV. Never seen the show, but I've heard good things.“
“Very family-oriented, but children and conversations can sometimes make it tough to hear the person talking right next to you. The food is always good, and the portions are generous. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Definitely a go-to place when I’m in the mood for a little taste of home.“
“Bring an extra pair of socks to the Manville diner, because your socks will be knocked off! When we arrived we were told to sit anywhere we liked, I chose the last available booth next to the window. Our waitress came quickly and we shared a name, immediately I felt a sense of kinship. I ordered cranberry juice and a breakfast burrito with hash browns and the guy sitting in the booth with me ordered coffee, chocolate chip pancakes, toast (rye and dry), eggs and bacon with a side of hash browns. They had a tv in the corner of the diner so I was able to keep an eye on the Iran situation while enjoying my meal. On the wall above us hung a portrait of the old diner that sat on the site, as well as the asbestos factory. This got personal/emotional for me because my grandma is from Manville and many of her relatives worked there and later died from asbestos-related diseases. Price wise, it could’ve been more affordable. My final tab was $42.94 and this was for two people. But to be fair the guy I came with ordered a lot. The diner looks new from the outside but old in the inside, when I called to ask about the history of the diner they hung up on me. All in all, my food was alright and the service was good.“
“This Denny's is on a highway across from a large mall and gets less customers as a result. Still, the food is good and the restaurant is very clean. Prices are cheap and I bought extras, fruit salad & banana cream pancakes topping.Vegetarian options: You can ask for no meat. The only thing that is really vegetarian is the side salad.Parking: On Sunday, the lot is empty. I think there are offices using the same lot. A hotel has a lot in back & might overflow into Dennys.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicapped parking spaces. The restaurant is one floor and another customer used a walker to leave ok.“
“On a warm evening me and my friends drove to the skylark diner for early diner. We arrived around 6:30 and the restuarant was pretty empty. There was plentiful parking around the diner. The restuarant was very pleasing to the eyes with clocks from timezones all around the world decorating the walls. We were seated as soon we came in with a choice of seating at the regular booths or at the bar. Most of the seating in this indee is booth seating. The menu was both as big as other diners but the selection of food was still great! Most of the items were pretty expensive but they came with a soup or salad. My partner got the lemon chicken dish for 26$ and it was very tasty. I got the grilled flank steak sandwhich for 19$ and it cane with a side of fries in a cute little container. My food was very well seasoned and tasted very good. Our waiter had exceptional service tending to our needs and giving us extra time to look at the menu without being rushed. My overall experience was very good with my only downside being how expensive the food was.“
“We arrived around 9:00 PM on a Thursday. We were able to park in the smaller parking lot right in front instead of the large lot next to it and were seated within a minute of walking inside. This diner has a modern feel and includes a bar but retains the booths that are indicative of diners. The hostess told us to choose any booth to sit in but did not walk to our booth to set our menus down. After taking our time looking at the extensive menu, we were ready to order but had to wait a couple of minutes before our server came to take our order. Our server was kind enough to apologize for the wait since they were occupied with a larger party then quickly took our drink and food orders. Our drink and food did not take long to be served to us (around 10 minutes) and were impressed by the quality of the items we had ordered. Order the South Central Mexican Skillet if you’re looking for perfectly seasoned home fries and fried eggs!“
“I came to Omega Diner for a Saturday Men's Fellowship with my church. It was 13 of us and we had the back room to ourselves. Our waiter was attentive throughout our duration there, especially for a large group. I ordered the mozzarella and sausage omlette, which was a pretty generous size. I loved how cheesy it was, and the sausage was cooked well. It came with home fries and toast, and I ordered a side of crispy bacon as well. For dessert, I ordered the cannoli cheesecake, and I was blown away by how generous they were with their slices. It tasted as good as it looked, and it wasn't overly rich.“
