I’ve had Italian food in Italy, Greece, France, and Germany but nothing compares to Sapore Italiano in West Cape May. We ate there in May 2025 before I left for overseas travel. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere made us feel at home. The chef surprised us with a special appetizer lollipop lamb, shrimp, fresh tomato and mozzarella, all drizzled in a sauce I’ll never forget. Every single dish our family ordered that night was incredible. What really stood out was the service the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about every table. My cousin, a lifelong Cape May local, recommended this place to my wife and me. He only started talking about it after losing his wife last November, so the recommendation meant a lot and it did not disappoint. “We visited Joey M's La Piazza this evening for the first time. We had the chicken parm w/spaghetti and the calamari w/white garlic sauce over spaghetti. Hot bread came out first, and both the entree's were excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The venue was adorned with many celebrity photos and had good Italian music playing in the background. We can recommend Joey's for a good dining experience.“

“We had an amazing experience on our wedding day last weekend at Duffinetti’s. The owner was extremely accommodating and dedicated to making our day extra special. She allowed us to drop our wedding cake off prior to opening for storing, served an amazing meal for our large party, served our wedding cake and even arranged the performer to play our wedding song for our first dance. We couldn’t thank her and the staff enough for making our day amazing.“

“Our family has been coming to a ca mia annually for quite a few years, as this place was one of the few more upscale places willing to accomodate my kids when they were younger. (Note: my kids were relatively calm, stay in their seats, and were not interrupting anyone else’s dining experiences.)

Over the years we’ve had the same server often, how he manages to remember is impressive. Service here is always very attentive.

I indicated outdoor seating when I called, then also asked for outdoor seating when we arrived but were initially given an indoor table. I understand these things happen. But, the real disappointment was the lamb. One of the chops was so tough, my knife couldn't cut it nor could I chew it.“

“New air conditioning makes this laundry mat much eiser to handle in the summer. Just got 2 new over sized washers to do extra large quilts or your animals bedding. Cheaper then any other laundry mats in area and staff is even friendlier then other laundry mats. I hate going to laundry mat but staff makes it more pleasant.“
