“I am a local who works on the island, Giovanni's is the real deal. Best Hoagies around, on and off Sea Isle. I recommend the Old World Italian on a seeded roll, if you like sharp provolone and prosciutto. The owner and staff are amazing. You really can't go wrong ordering anything off their menu. Made to order and FRESH! Especially during the summer when the produce is Jersey Grown and I love that the owner gets his produce locally.“
“I always make it a point to stop by when I'm in Sea Isle. The slices are excellent made with top notch ingredients, and they don't skimp on toppings either. I usually go for their buffalo chicken, and riccotta slices, and I haven't found another place that even comes close. I've been coming here for years, and plan to for years to come.“

What impressed me was that Joe, without a hesitation, sought out a way to make room for us to dine. We were made to feel unbelievably welcome the entire time. The entire evening, as people were leaving, I could not help but hear the sincere thank you’s that were being offered to the staff. “It was a busy Saturday night. The food and service were very good. We had the Cacio Pepe Tableside....rich and satisfying, a real delicacy. The owner, Marco, prepared the dish masterfully. We visit often, in and off season and we have always been pleased. The Roman specialties put the restaurant in a different category (on top) of the many others, all the same menu, Italian restaurants. Kudos to the management. The Amatriciana and the Scallops Risotto were fantastic.“

“Another Great meal at Il posto on a quiet evening. The Special Brocclai/cheddar soup was fantastic. It was much lighter than other Brocclai/cheddar soups i have had. The Barramuzzo fish special over linguini was excellent. Fettucini Bolognese was very good. Cannollis were standard fare. Unlike many nights, restaurant was not busy so the noise level was not an issue. The new space is a tad too brightly lit.“

“The food overall was very good. We had the eggplant appetizer which was excellent. The marinara was fantastic. My fiancé had the pappardelle which she enjoyed very much. I had the Lasagna which was a generous portion and the flavor was great but, it wasn't heated all the way through and cold in the center. The service was excellent considering only one waiter was working about 10!or so tables and also taking care of the hosting and bussing duties. He handled it very well but, because I felt bad he was working so hard I didn't want to bother him with sending the lasagna back to be heated. I would definitely recommend it and intend to try it again.“

“It was good, not great. The bread was low quality, but warm at least. The calamari appetizer was rubbery and bland.My entree, the scampi tequila was outstanding. The sauce was very tasty and the shrimps were huge and cooked and seasoned perfectly.Service was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and polite. It's a small place, and I loved the atmosphere. Noisy, but in a good way. Not stuffy.Prices were fair.It's local and I will definitely try again, but the details in the some of the dishes stopped it from being great this time.“
