“Well, this was disappointing. I saw the Instagram post featuring the different specialty donuts, so a friend and I decided to stop by this location to try them out.
I ordered a coffee first because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat, and I sat down with my friend. Once the line got shorter, I went back up to the showcase to take a better look at the donuts. I ended up purchasing three of the specialty donuts, which looked absolutely amazing. The young lady who helped me was pleasant, handed me my bag, and I went back to sit down.
A little later, when my girlfriend finished eating, she went up to order two specialty donuts to go — a crème brûlée donut and an apple donut. Her order was carefully hand-delivered in a beautiful plastic crush-proof container.
Meanwhile, my donuts had simply been tossed into a paper bag, with the icing sticking to the paper by the time I opened it. It honestly felt careless and lazy, especially considering these are specialty donuts that are meant to look appealing.
It was obvious she had a different employee helping her — someone who took the extra time to make sure the donuts stayed intact and looked perfect. I should have said something, but the line was long again and I had to get back to work.
Dunkin' — I’m glad you’re busy and doing well, but all customers ordering these specialty donuts should receive the same level of care and presentation. They deserve to be packaged properly, not thrown into a bag as if the order didn’t matter.“
