Sam Bong is a no-frills, cafeteria-style restaurant tucked away on the second floor of a typical building in Pal Park. Despite the owner's stern expression, the food is delicious and plentiful, with highlights including the kimchi and naengmyun. One of the best naengmyun (buckwheat) noodles in Jersey, it's self-serve with no tipping. The cold broth noodles are really good to cool you down during hot summer days, and the regular size portion is already a lot. The LA galbi set is a small but flavorful serving, perfectly marinated.

The efficient system ensures quick service: get a number, order in advance, and your food arrives shortly after seating. Freshly made in-house noodles are thinner here, easier to handle with provided scissors.
