SB K-BBQ 숯불가든 is a highly recommended charcoal Korean BBQ spot. The meats are high quality, and the servers are always very friendly. The charcoal grill is a game changer, giving the meat a rich, smoky flavor. Favorites include the marinated short ribs and house special spicy pork. The moksal (pork neck) and samgyeopsal (pork belly) are cut thick, just like in Korea. The mool nengmyun (buckwheat noodles in a cold broth) compliments the BBQ meats really well, and the Korean-style beef tartare (over seasoned sushi rice) is phenomenal. The food is amazing; one reviewer dreams about it. Even though some find the recent renovation lights a bit bright, the food and quality make other BBQ seem inferior. The marinated duck pairs surprisingly well with the fresh chive salad. The ventilation system is good, so you don't smell like the grill when you walk out. It is not cheap, but you are paying for good quality KBBQ. If you are craving a taste of Korea, SB K-BBQ is more than worth the journey.
