“First time customer. Found them here on Google because of 4.5 reviews and close to home. Online menu is not correct with offerings and prices. We ordered on the phone and the worker was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered empanadas, a drizzle burrito and a mix burrito. For dessert we ordered chimichanga cheesecake. On arrival the worker was very pleasant. There is a 3% charge to use your card or tap. Food was average. Presentation was good and food looks very appealing. The drizzle burrito was good. Jalapenos made it spicy but it had too much rice in it as filler as opposed to more carne asada. The mix burrito didn't have any wraps or even shells and I didn't think I would have to ask for them and I didn't. The meat was very thinly sliced and grilled. It was good but underwhelming. Our empanadas..I ordered a 5 pack upgraded to 2 chicken/1 carne asada/1 pork/1 ground beef. We received 2 chicken and 3 ground beef. They were pretty. The wrap was nice. They were very greasy. The chimichanga cheesecake was good it was a slice of cheesecake wrapped in a flour tortilla then coated in cinnamon sugar. Overall it was good but could be better. They do have more items on the menu that's not online like birria.”

“They had a barbecue yesterday and the food was absolutely amazing. Tim and Ashley( the man and woman making and serving the food) are super friendly and fast with your order. I felt like no sooner did I order my meal , they were there handing me a plate full of hot delicious food. I would definitely recommend going there to eat on the days that Tim and Ashley are there.”

“I had dinner with my wife on Friday night. We live 2 blocks away. Normally we stop in to a have few drinks and get some apps, which are always good. Last night I tried some of the dinner choices. I couldn’t decide so I got the Seafood Gumbo which was outstanding. Then I got the Southern Fried CatFish with the mustard sauce, which was amazing. They were both big portions, (I didn’t finish either, although I tried, haha). My wife had buffalo cauliflower and dry Cajun wings which were both really good. The food is a hidden gem that we have in Palmyra, the prices are good and the service is always great. We had the young guy with hat and he was awesome. The bartenders even jump out to make sure the tables are ok. The acoustic guy playing was just right also. I know the owners have worked hard to keep 5 West going the last few years. Keep up the Great work!!”

“It was an unforgettable dinner. The moment I stepped inside, I felt as if I had been invited to a close friend’s or family member’s home for a warm, intimate meal. The space is small, cozy, and wonderfully personal. The two chefs prepared and served each course with perfect timing, offering fresh, beautifully crafted dishes one after another without a single moment of dullness.

It was a joy not only to taste the food but also to watch the careful, thoughtful preparation behind every plate. The flavors were excellent, the progression of courses felt seamless, and I left with that perfect feeling of satisfied fullness.

There is no doubt that this restaurant fully deserves its Michelin one-star rating. A truly memorable dining experience.

The only thing I found disappointing was that, although I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary when making the reservation, nothing was acknowledged at all. The staff’s prepared guests’ birthday cakes, special party hats, cards and even a moment where the lights were turned off so everyone in the room could celebrate together. In contrast, our table didn’t receive even a simple mention of our anniversary.”

“Not kidding. Our table of 4 ordered nearly everything in the menu. Each bite was delicious, balanced, nuanced, worldly, fresh, and inventive. We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. Soon! ❤️”

“The Love. was simply incredible! We came here with our 6 year old son. Our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating to our 6 year old which you don’t always find in Rittenhouse. The atmosphere was light and airy and the food was great! Make sure to try their Dubai Chocolate Sundae and if you’re going with children they do have special kids cups and will accommodate the menu for them.”

“If you are looking for a place that serves authentic Mexican food, then South Philly Barbacoa is the place. The food is delicious and is really cheap. They are known for their lamb tacos, and you must try it if you come here. It's cash only I believe.”
