“It is literally a hole in the wall, and very reminiscent of a convenience store in Peru, it’s a small place but was very well stocked with Peruvian items! The lady that attended to us was so nice, and the Picarones were delicious! I will def come back.“

“The restaurant has wonderful specials that come with entree, side, and a can of soda. There sides are not the average fries or rice but more exquisite like papa la huancaina and different types of sauces from green, the usual yellow, and orange.their lunch prices with all that was mentioned is only $15 which is an amazing price. The food was delicious and the helpful man that worked there offers their customers daily specials sent to you. Great customer service. The only downfall is looking for parking. Also if you don’t speak Spanish make sure you make use of a translation app.“

This has to be the best aji de gallina I’ve ever had here in the states, of course nothing can beat having it in Peru. The owner remembered my dad and that I was with him our first time coming to this restaurant. She even remembered exactly what I ordered! “

“Came here after a bad experience at a restaurant across the street and I was so glad to find a clean place with good food. My partner got aguadito de pollo and a cau cau and both were very flavorful and tasted like good traditional comfort food. I got a crema de rocoto and a lomo saltado and both were delicious and generously portioned. It was the perfect amount of food for us and we loved every bite, really grateful for the good experience here.“

I definitely recommend visiting—especially to try the lomo saltado, the beef was incredibly tender and soft. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m around Paterson again!“

“I got there as a recommendation from my sister who said that the food was delicious. We ordered 2 lomo saltados, 1 ruleta de mariscos, 1 papas a la huaicaina. The food was good, not the best lomo salteado but really 9/10, it was really good. My brother in law ordered la ruleta rusa and said it was also good. Why I give it 4/5 stars is mostly because of the service. The waitress had a bit of an attitude. We ordered 2 lomos and one was to share and when we got the order, she brought 3, we said that we ordered 2 and she said “I’m going to take it but you said 3”, we also ordered a pitch of Maracuya juice, she brought Jamaican, and we said it wasn’t right and she said “we don’t have any juices”, again, with an attitude. It might’ve been my impression but my whole party also said that. But she was the only one. There were other two servers who seemed really kind! The music was also a bit loud for my liking, couldn’t hear well our conversation.“

My husband was craving mofongo and fried fish. We tried the mofongo de chicharrón, which was absolutely amazing, and the mofongo de camarones, which we felt was a bit less flavorful.

My husband mentioned that the shrimp wasn’t mashed into the mofongo, which was a bit different from what he’s used to.

Personally, I love my mofongo with mashed pork and the protein on top, and I thought the mofongo tasted fantastic. The fried fish was also a highlight—well-cleaned, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was, especially since it had traveled 30 minutes to get to us. Can’t wait to try it fresh in the restaurant! Highly recommend!“

Parking is lousy. You have to look for parking on the street because they have no lot.
The only thing I can warn people about is to double check your receipts because sometimes they'll over charge you. So, look at it carefully.
