“Italian kitchen is a great one stop shop for all your catering orders. I showed up to pick up the sandwiches for our church lunch and I had put the wrong date on the order!!! They were able to accommodate me and worked like crazy to get it done. The cake I ordered was superb!!! If it had not been for the kindness of this store today, I don’t know what I would have done. The cashier, God Bless you. You went above and beyond to fix my mistake. Love you all!!!“

So far I’ve had their pizza, bagels, rolls, numerous types of pastries, Vermont crunchy bars, brookies, and even their cookie in a croissant (WOW!!). They sell coffee from a local family owned company (Rimfire roasters) that also pairs perfectly with their pastries! Very warm and friendly staff. Highly recommend stopping in!“

“From the moment we stepped inside the cute shop, we were welcomed by friendly staff who emailed me their huge list of offerings! I ended up getting a banana nut cake with peanut butter filling and whipped cream cheese icing and the cake is DELICIOUS! When I went to pick up, staff was warm and friendly and welcoming and made me feel like family. We will be coming back for sure!“

“I will come back to Cakes by Kim for every cake purchase in my future. I went to another bakery in Delaware first and was quoted an outrageous $220 price for my son’s birthday cake so I walked out. I proceeded to look up other bakerys in the area and decided to check out Cakes by Kim. Not only was their price insanely reasonable but the cake was DELICIOUS. The best cake I’ve had in years! The cake itself was so moist and the icing was perfection. Everyone at my son’s party was asking where I got it from and wanted extra to take home. Everyone who works inside the bakery is so nice, I don’t have a single bad thing to say.“

“I was referred to Willows Wisp bakery by a friend of mine to bake my daughter’s wedding cake. I was in a panic because I waited too long to order this cake but Ashley provided a very calm and positive assurance that she had it covered! I sent her a picture of the cake my daughter requested and she came through for us. Not only was the cake exactly what we wanted but this cake was exquisite. Everyone LOVED this cake. “Jennifer Ballintyn and team made a wonderful cake for my wedding reception at Longwood Gardens! I chose a simple, elegant design. At Longwood, the florist decorated it with edible flower petals to make it even more beautiful. It was delicious and there was enough cake for everyone (around 100 guests)! Thank you so much! They also give you a free anniversary cake if you ask!“

“We've now had Viva Vegan make at least half a dozen custom cakes for us over the last couple of years, and they've all been excellent! The head baker/owner Evangelina can handle any dietary constraints. One of our recent cakes had to be gluten free and also avoid a few other common ingredients, and the cake was still very fluffy and moist and delicious... a big hit among all of our guests! She uses organic and high quality ingredients as well, which no other bakery in town does that I know of.“

“While I like most of Stoltzfus’s items, I’ve been disappointed in their chicken salad. It used to be a staple in our home but seems like they’ve changed the recipe. It’s now so runny with mayo (or whatever they use) that it plops right off our sandwiches. They’ve also seem to cut back on the celery which added a nice contrasting crunch. Please bring back the old recipe.“

I contacted them before I ordered and they assured me that the order would get to us in time. Sure enough, we received our order in record time and boy is it delicious. “The new owner at this location, Lou, was very kind and accommodating. I had placed an order for pretzels online a few weeks ago while the store was under the previous ownership. My order was unable to be completed due to the equipment being down on the day I was supposed to pick it up. I was told by the old owner that he would leave my receipt at the front and I could come in and pick up the pretzels anytime. (after the equipment was fixed) I stopped in yesterday to find a new owner and no record of any reciept at the "front". I explained the situation to Lou and although he didn't even own the store at that time, he wanted to make it right and sympathized with my situation. He seems like a stand up guy and good honest business owner. Good luck! We will be back“
