“Flew in for a work trip this week and we decided to order Gencarelli's Pine Brook last minute through UberEats. I took these photos midway through the meal. Being a vegetarian, and without seeing clear labeling on their menu, I called the restaurant ahead of time to find out what was safe to order. The guy I chatted with (possibly the Manager, Walter?) was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure he got me the right info for dishes, and communicated with the cook after we ordered to avoid any mix-ups. All of the food (cheese ravioli with parmesan, garlic sauteed spinach, beet salad, plain rolls) was fresh and the quality was exceptional. Portions were large and I was able to eat on them for a couple days. The plain cheesecake was literally the best I've ever had in my life. 🙌 I'm still dreaming about it and wish I could have it shipped to TX. I definitely recommend Gencarelli's Pine Brook for a delicious night out or even a relaxing night in. Can't wait for my next visit to NJ!“

“The Great Wazu is the reason small businesses are the HEART of a community. I am a soon-to-be small business owner myself. I walked in this place tonight like I do every 1-2 weeks to get dinner. Sara behind the counter has gotten to know me and ALWAYS remembers my order. Tonight, she asked me what was new, and I told her I had been upset all day worrying about all the stuff I have on my plate right now getting my business ready to open. She was the sweetest. When I reached for my credit card, she told me my order was on her and gave me a hug and said, "You got this." It was one of the most human experiences I've ever had, and I just want everyone to know how special this place is. It's not just the sandwiches. It's the kindness.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. “Went for the first time today, and let it be known we will be back. Saw an ad for their "El Gringo" and had to try it, it was amazing! Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese piled high on a soft roll! Would easily get again, wife and son both loved theirs! Ordered some pork belly as well, nice and crispy, full of flavor. The gentleman working was very friendly and offered all the sauces if we needed any, he was excellent. The venue is well lit and had a "home-y" feel to it. We will easily be back, it is walking distance for us, happy to have them in town. Added some pictures below of the food!“

“Just a note of feedback to reviews posted recently, no one should open the restaurant early for Chiller and, no, the potential profit is NOT there. This Ruth’s Chris location is steadfast and phenomenal. The servers are excellent, knowledgeable, and dedicated. There’s a great team in the kitchen and it’s apparent in the dining experience. One doesn’t find such a long term and tenured staff at a dining establishment without the restaurant having a good reason to be honored with such retention. Also, Kasey is absolutely beautiful, so the last reviewer is probably reacting to their own bitterness and jealousy. Long term regular here, couldn’t recommend more, and I’ll never quit. Oh, and don’t pay for parking, but do go enjoy a steak served with care and hospitality.“
