“Been a while since we went to Axton’s, but my wife and I will be celebrating 30 years this week, we thought we’d start with a fine dinner WTH Chef Anton. Early on a Sunday during the summer was far from their busy time, so we had a chance to chat. For starters, we shared an apple mango salad. Shame on me for not reading the menu. The dressing is apple mango. Home made! I was looking for mango in the salad. Apple, craisins, two kinds of cheese…. Perfect for a hot July day. My wife ordered the shrimp marinara over spinach instead of pasta. Delicious and even more impressive was that the shrimp had their tails removed. A great touch. The piece de resistance was my scallop special. Scallops topped with Crabcake coating topped with bacon. Served over a bed of spinach with cherry tomatoes and more. My wife called it spectacular. I thought it was a taste of heaven. Couldn’t figure out one taste in the sauce. Originally thought mango, but there was none in the salad. Had to ask if it was peach? Mango was the winner. The dish was a bigger winner!”

“Our first time going to the Totowa location (met up with friends for lunch). Staff was very friendly and helpful - we decided to eat outside and they brought the food to us quickly. We had the tacos, regular bowl with carnitas and fajita bowl with steak and pina-mango drink. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Will come back to try El Pastor. Definitely recommend Sombrero Tacoria.”

“I was excited to get warm with soup after Pompton Lakes’ Holiday Stroll. I got the Hot Lemongrass Beef Pho. This is hands down the best pho I’ve had since leaving California. Boiling Pho is legit!! The noodles were chewy and not soggy. The beef brisket was so tender. The sliced beef was fresh. The broth was immaculate on a cold night and super flavorful. Nothing beats a good bowl of pho. I can’t wait to include this place in my weeknight dinner rotation! Thank you for the great food, atmosphere, and service!!”

“This is likely my favorite cafe thanks to solid service, food, drinks, ambiance (quiet😊). I like to pick up the in-house sealed earl grey kcups as well as the moroccan mint kcups for home. The avocado toast, banana pudding, cheese danish were all delish!”

“I’m not a big review guy but this place is one of those exceptions because of how FANTASTIC the food here is. I don’t eat out much and prefer eating healthier at home because eating out makes me feel bad BUT THIS PLACE NEVER makes me feel like poop. A+++++++ ”

The bar has an awesome partnership with the Smoke Shack BBQ across the street, making it even better. The vibe is laid-back, and they offer a great selection of craft beers, wines, and a wide variety of whiskeys and tequilas. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good drink.”

“The Sidedoor is under new ownership, and I’ve already seen some really positive changes! It’s in a great spot, and they’ve started adding food and making little updates that make a big difference. The vibe is super inviting! It’s definitely a place where anyone can feel welcome.

If you’re into beer, pool, darts, shuffleboard, and just a good time in general, this is the place to check out. Excited to see what’s coming next for The Sidedoor!”

“The Pizza is Fantastic. My 10 yr old was having a blah day. He said the only thing that could fix it was pizza. It had to be in Pompton Lakes and it had to be Nicky G's. We had 2 slices each (which is a lot for him), a Yoohoo for him and a Nicky G's Vanilla soda for me. It was definitely worth the cost, which wasn't expensive at all.”

They are both so nice and we spoke to great lengths about the different types of ice cream and quality along with their business in general. I wish I took one while I was there but I was starving so I stayed at the table eating the delicious chips and salsa they gave us! The waitress was so, so, so nice. She gave great recommendations and actually chose my meal for me because I couldn't decide. My sister had the rope Vieja (which I tasted, delicious!) I had the fish tacos and they were amazing. Perfect, actually. I have not one single complaint. Everything was beyond great and I can't wait to get back over there!”
