“Tried it today first time since I moved to Carteret. Food was great and the owner was so nice. He prepared the food while telling the story and history of this town and his hot dog stand. Honestly this was the best food experience I had in Carteret, would definitely visit again whenever I get a chance. Tommy you rock 🙌“

“NY Fries was incredibly delicious, loved the Poutine with Pulled Pork BBQ and Cheese Curds. Went to Canada a year ago Jul. where I ate some different types of Poutine. NY Fries does it great. I hope more locations pop up in NJ. I'll be coming back to try more things.“

“You really can't go wrong with any of Red's food.And such reasonable prices compared to other island vendors. My personal favorite is her sweet onions and bacon dog, and her chili with potato sticks. Sounds odd I know, but trust me...she has so many unique toppings to make any combo. Then my other fav is an open faced loaded knish. She also does burgers, and baked potatoes, and thee BEST CUP OF CHILI!!! RUN, DONT WALK!!! YOU'LL BE HOOKED.“

“Burger is OK, but I just ordered a flash burger, which has a fried egg. Specifically asked them not to over fry the egg . And they do exactly what I ask him not to do. If you’re gonna put an egg on a burger like that, you might as well scramble it if you don’t know what over easy means. Definitely don’t waste your money if you want an egg on the burger. Because they definitely don’t make it right.“

“This place is just amazing! There were 5 of us and we all ordered something different. Everything we got was delicious- we all tried each other's dishes. There's a little bit of everything to satisfy even the pickiest eater. I would just drive her (over a 2 hour drive for me) just to come eat here. I need this place closer to home, lol.“

“Found the spot by accident just searching the area I was for a hot dog spot, old school food truck in the parking lot of the American Legion plenty of parking. I had the chili dog with onions and cheese and a dog with mustard and kraut, the chili cheese dog was very good the chili was tasty the cheese was a cheese sauce of some kind and the sauerkraut was delicious Price is Right I enjoyed it. Also as there is no seating there I ate it in my vehicle while it was nice and hot he wraps the dogs up in wax paper perfectly there was no mess from the chili or the cheese or even the sauerkraut I was able to eat them in my vehicle nice and warm and not make a mess Kudos Sal!!“

“I've tried a couple of mochi donuts here and they are all amazing! Not too sweet and the flavors all hit the mark. I've recently stopped by and noticed they had Christmas themed donuts, which is think is so cute, they would be great to bring to a party or to gift to someone.“

“As I and my spouse walked in, we was greeted very happy very warm knowing that it was like 1030 at night but they were happy to see us. It was kind of slow but what impact me most is I do not know that they don’t take $50 bills, but this cashier that says that she’s a supervisor when above and beyond and took my $50 bill and made my service so warm and fulfilled my needs when above and beyond for us great experience, awesome communication she deserves and applause for Her great customer service around that time at night. She had a great attitude.

“Randy catered my god daughter’s first birthday party today and his services were nothing short of perfect. He showed up promptly, with a positive attitude, ready to serve the community. He was super respectful, down to earth, and great with the kids. His hot dogs tasted great and offered many different toppings/condiments. “Went to this Five Guys location tonight and Mike and the crew were helpful, attentive, and seemed to be enjoying their time with customers and each other, which you really can’t say often at fast food type places much these days. We live in between 2 locations and usually go to the other one more often but their fries were better than I remembered tonight and I’m more likely to go to Westfield again next time we order. “Jerry's Hot Dog the best fast food restaurant, its Chili like its Pork and Chicken Skewers, the mustard is the same one that Tommy uses, I prefer to eat at Jerry's Hot Dog because its food is richer and more, there is no point of comparison With the competition, everything is fresh and very delicious.“

“Randomly stopped in here with a quick search of places to eat near by. This blew my mind. It wad so good. The restaurant owners were so kind, like family. Clean,trendy with quality ingredients. The caffeine gaulo was delicious. The pastel with ham and cheese huge. It was memorable and delicious. The sauces ate all house made. Too die for. I ordered the open hot dog, dog Alberto. Its so wild. The coolest thing I've eaten in the usa. A hotdog on bread wrapped in mashed garlic potatoes with mozzarella (cheese pull) and so many things. Ill be back to try the others. It could feed a family. Great pastries and candies.“

“As I was walking to my car today, my bag ripped and most of my fries fell all over the parking lot. One of the workers saw what had happened and was kind enough to run out and offer us another fry. Unfortunately we were in a rush to get to an appointment so I really didn’t have enough time to go back in. But as I was backing out, he came running out with a new order of fries! So kind and grateful for going above and beyond! We appreciate it! THANK YOU!!“

“the hour n something minute trip is well worth it! I got myself a pizza bag to keep my food hot for the trip home! I'll make a few calls for orders for friends on my way home! The whole ensemble is perfect! nice n juicy peppers, onions and enough potatoes for that little side snack, a little extra grease to make the bread just right, not dry and dogs cooked to perfection! when you make the trip be sure to call friends to take their order! you know they're homesick and sure could use a great memory!“

“They aren't always there, but when they are, considerate it your lucky day. Some of the best hot dogs I've had, I recommend trying one with cooked onions and cheese, simple yeah, but it's all you need.
I've literally been going here for years (since I was a kid), perfect snack after a walk around the Rahway River Park. You can even ask for your hotdogs to go (they just wrap 'em up and put them in a bag).“
