First of all, it's gorgeous, so sunshine-y and green. We sat at the bar and the service was great. We ordered the cantaloupe slushies and they were so, so good! They weren't overly strong + they mix them themselves, just a few ingredients. The guac was a little small but delicious. The pork tacos were pretty expensive for 2, I thought, until I tasted them. WOW, so good. We were so busy catching up, we didn't realize they'd closed to get ready for dinner. They emphasized we hadn't overstayed our welcome, we could stay as long as we needed.
And the disco-themed restroom + playlist? Excellente“

I could definitely recommend the enchiladas suizas—they were very tasty, but also extremely spicy, even after asking for the hot sauce on the side. I feel that if they hadn’t been so spicy, I would have absolutely loved them. The churros come with a delicious white sauce, and the coconut cake is a great option if you’re a fan of coconut.“

Tostada de atun was mouth watering, fresh, flavorful and my personal favorite of the night but a tough 2nd pick was the branzino we order which comes with a nice pineapple salsa. The fish was cooked perfectly and also so fresh.

Everything here is fresh and packed with flavor, perfect for hot summer night, light dinners, or parties with friends.“

“Cosme is a true celebration of flavor and elevated Mexican cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance—elegant, warm, and thoughtfully designed, with well-spaced tables that allow for comfortable conversation without overhearing your neighbors.

The service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive. Our party of six ordered everything at once and shared family-style, and the pacing of each course was spot on.

We started with all the appetizers, and it was nearly impossible to choose a favorite. The scallops al pastor, the corn, and the bass were each exceptional in their own way—beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor.

For mains, the standout was the duck carnitas—tender, rich, and perfectly executed. An off-menu tomahawk ribeye, served with house-made salsa and fresh corn tortillas, was another highlight—arguably better than what you’d find at a top steakhouse.

Although Cosme offers a thoughtful wine list, we found ourselves captivated by the cocktails. The spicy margarita was a favorite, and the mezcal flight was both fun and expertly curated.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert—but that only gives us another reason to return. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.“

“It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food. I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. “My partner and I absolutely LOVED Casa Carmen TriBeCa! It was our first time there, it was convenient to a screening we were attending nearby at The Roxy. The food was sublime, the service wonderful, in a beautiful setting. Ron was our server and he was fantastic; he knew about my allergies (put in the reservation system) before approaching the table, accurately described the food preparations, and he and the staff were mindful and aware of all going on (the water carafe was always full!). We shared guacamole, my partner had tortilla soup (broth poured from a teapot at the table!) and lamb tacos. I had special tacos (branzino with the most amazing sauce flavor profile was very unique!) and vegetarian black beans. We shared churros for desert and I had an espresso. All was perfect. Of note, the plating was beautiful, elevated the food made with love even more. There were several big parties, but the sound level never got too loud (and I am very sensitive to sound); the 2-tops are also situated so you don't feel like people are sitting on top of you, and the bigger tables are perfectly situated. “My husband and I first heard about this place from King Schratz and I’m so glad we did!

Yes, like others have mentioned, it is a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth it. The food is consistently delicious and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband loves their tacos and burrito, and I’m a big fan of their elotes, tacos and taco bowls. Even my 79-year-old mother, who normally isn’t a fan of Mexican food, loves theirs. That alone says a lot!

Their tres leches is also incredible. I’ve sampled a lot of tres leches cakes in my life and theirs easily jumped to the top of my list.

Beyond the food, the customer service is just as impressive. Two of the owners, Jay and Kike, are always so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They even offer delivery, and their driver, Juan, is just as awesome! In this day and age, it’s rare to find a Mexican spot that’s both authentic and Latino-owned... and Just Tacos is exactly that. We’re more than happy to keep supporting them!“

Tacos were perfect, frozen margarita were from another league and churros were amazing.
To add, service was fast and you always feel like your being served by a relative and not a stranger.

“I found this location on OpenTable and truly had no idea what to expect. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about their offerings as well as accommodating to my tree nut allergy. We got several appetizers that were phenomenal along with our drinks. We really didn't know what to expect going here, but it exceeded any expectation I could've had! Highly recommend. “

“The food and drinks were phenomenal! We ordered the ceviche which was fresh and full of flavor, spice level was great! The ensalada Carmen was incredible, the nopal and queso panela were a good combination. The garnachas had a kick to them but it made you want more. A huge hit were the empanadas de platano, the sweet and salty with the chocolate and chipotle based sauce was unreal!

For entrees we did the ribeye tacos, pescado con verdolagas and the ribeye huarache! All were so filling and delicious! As a Mexican, it’s hard finding good quality Mexican food with fresh ingredients but they really hit the nail on the head with each dish and the mix of flavors. The drinks packed a punch and we appreciated their use of mezcal in several of the cocktail options.

Finally to end we tried the tres leches which wasn’t too sweet but still moist. The fresh strawberries really elevated it. The pastel de elote was also a favorite, fresh out of the oven so it was warm and melted in your mouth. Mixed with the coffee ice cream, it was a dream.
