“Just wow! Having been to Taqueria Ramirez, I already knew the tacos at Carnitas Ramirez weren’t going to let me down. And they certainly didn’t! Every taco I had was outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the corn tortillas were top notch. There’s also a nice assortment of salsas and toppings at a DIY counter so you can dress them up however you like. Everyone was super friendly too. Absolutely worth the trip, and I can’t wait to return.“

“Taqueria on 10th was honestly an incredible dining experience! The food was absolutely amazing, authentic, flavorful, and you could immediately tell that the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. We ordered the carnitas tacos, steak tacos, nachos, elote, and churros, and everything was delicious. The tacos were packed with flavor, the nachos were loaded and perfectly balanced, and the churros were the perfect way to finish the meal.

The margaritas were INSANE and definitely some of the best we’ve had in NYC. A huge shoutout to Cesar, our bartender, for making such amazing drinks!

But what really made our experience stand out was the service. Louis, our server, was phenomenal—so attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel so welcomed throughout the entire meal. Excellent service can make such a difference, and Louis truly went above and beyond.

“It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food. I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. I hope to return soon.“

“First - this food is incredible. Spent a lot of time in Houston, ATX, MX, and other taco strongholds. This is more than on par with the best of all of them. Also, fast and fresh.

Second - customer service at both locations is top-tier, from the leadership to the front-of-house.

I was hesitant to write this because I loathe waiting in lines and fear blowing up a cherished spot (that’s already famous - you get it), but I believe in giving credit and celebrating where it’s due. And here, it certainly is.“

“This was the best Mexican meal I've ever had outside of Mexico City itself. Note that the food here is based on the cuisines of two Mexican states in the southern and central western parts of Mexico: Oaxaca and Jalisco. Two friends, my wife, and I really loved the tuna tostados, truffle esquites (street corn), arrachera, veggie tacos, and churros that were all part of the Power Lunch menu. We also enjoyed their Sangria and Gringo drinks. Our server, Sharon, was very frinedly and knew the menu well. My only minor nit was that she asked us how our appetizers were before we had even touched them. I highly recommend Kahlo to people who like flavorful food and would like to try a different kind of Mexican food.“

Nice atmosphere under natural light from skylight with low noise to comfortably chat and hear everyone from one end of the table to the other. We started with some guacamole which was super fresh and delicious. I had the Enmoladas Xico: 3 chicken enchiladas in a smokey and deeply flavorful mole sauce. And finally, the beautifully prepared desserts: a coconut flan, tres leches cake with toasted meringue, and an elote corn cake with caramel sauce and ice cream. We were blown away.“

We took forever trying to find a place that they would all find something to eat at but that place didn't work out so we came here not realizing how lucky we were. After having a quick glance at the menu I realized two of my children would probably not eat anything. Two of the ladies that work there helped us work it out to piece together a meal for them with components they already have. It took quite a while figuring everything out but they were patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and the cocktails and mocktails were phenomenal. This menu is by no means standard, it introduces elements of northern Mexican cuisine with nuanced flavors to deliver a sophisticated plate. The same attention given to the culinary side of things is repeated throughout what I like to define as Spanish bistro. The owner Yannin and her son Justin have imbued their space with original touches, hidden nooks and happy, unobtrusive music; altogether a lovely experience whether in company or alone.
