Discover where to enjoy delicious Mexican dishes in Wood-Ridge.
“A very pleasant and delicious experience, a service 1A Alexandra, the girl who served me, that woman knows that it is a good service, and everything she recommended was super delicious, she told me you are going to leave the plate empty and she was right, you feel in a little piece of Mexico ??, after I traveled there I became more demanding with the Mexican food I get in the USA, this place is perfect to try a little bit of Mexican gastronomy.“
“The sliders may be the wrong kind of simplicity, not fulfilling an obvious niche when everything from White Castle to Ye Olde Gentrified Microbrew's $32 truffle burger offers more adornments to their beef. But the butter noodles seem more valuable if you're just in the mood for sauce; the Thai curry was a decently spicy coconut-based concoction. The wings were enjoyable. As an occasionally overloud advocate of chicken with bones, I applaud the option to get wings with a general Tso's sauce. Other options including Buffalo and teriyaki.“
“I have ordered 2 time already from this place. Let me tell you something there chimichangas and quesadillas are bomb like all of there variations. Although typical selections they do it very very well. I asked for guacamole on the side and they built a little bean speed bump...check out the picMic drop“
“First, the great: order the chilaquiles for brunch. It’s a great non-traditional “elevated” take that retains all the beloved parts of the dish: the soggy-crunchy texture, the fried egg. The twists made sense, from the creamy non-spicy salsa to the hearty beans and mole crunch. It appeals to Americans’ preference for creamy foods. Also, if you can handle a bit of heat, order anything with salsa macha, a slightly spicy smoky-nutty chili oil.The bad: temperature and texture. It felt like most of the food sat at the counter for a long time before they got delivered to our table, or they didn’t even bother to cook the food. The tuna tostada and spring pea tlayuda sat on a soggy, leathery base. The chilaquiles did not touch the stove, just a bunch of chips tossed in sauce. The tacos arrived pretty close to room temp. Flavors were pleasant, but I expected something more intense or interesting from a Michelin place.Overall, the food’s pretty darn good for the price despite the flaws.“
“Really good carne asada tacos (5/5), brisket tacos (4.5/5)! The carne asada in the tacos was incredible - moist, flavorful, and very umami packed without being chewy. Really good. The brisket was great they have you a LOT for the filling. The mile enchiladas were okay (4/5) - the mole sauce was good but the chicken inside was very chewy.“
“I stopped by for drinks around 7pm on a Saturday with some friends. Thankfully there was a table available and we were seated right away. Bosco's has an extensive drink menu, and happy hour if you go during certain times on weekdays. The drinks were average NY prices, and were very good. I got the Sam Said So, while my friend got a Negroni. Both were very good! The service was great, and the decor was fun.“
“My all time favorite taco place in the city. Los Tacos No.1 was my favorite until I tried this place. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of their tacos but their pastor is my favorite. Whenever I am in BK, I will always make a stop here. Also try Tako Sando and Mallard Drake (al pastor hamburger) which is right down the “
“We walked by Sombrero Restaurant last night needing a place to eat before a 7pm show. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and lively. The wait staff was friendly and the food/beverages were excellent. Prices were very reasonable. A great choice. Definitely recommend.“
“Before I even lived in the neighborhood Jajaja was easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. Their cocktails are amazing especially their version of an espresso martini. All of the staff is so friendly and always make sure you're taken care of at all times. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still can call this my favorite restaurant because they do everything on their menu so well and it's rare in my experience where vegan food is indistinguishable from non-plant based food and my favorite is the enchiladas mole. Highly recommend!“
