“BAPS SWAMINARAYAN Akshardham makes my heart swell with pride and joy! Pardon me for bringing this to light: - I visited the BAPS SWAMINARAYAN Akshardham and was dismayed at seeing a couple taking pictures kissing in front of the Akshardham. I get that this mandir is open to the public and has become a tourist attraction because of its magnificence. But at the end of the day, it is still a Hindu Temple and a sacred place where Hindus worship and in this case the house of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Some people are visiting for their tic-toc, Facebook and Instagram viral moment; as you’d be amazed at the poses you see people striking for pictures, but they should be RESPECTFUL OF HINDU CULTURAL NORMS! When visiting any Basilica in Europe - Clothing should generally cover the shoulders, chest, midriff, and knees. The dress code is similar here. People don’t have to wear traditional Hindu Attire but PLEASE, the public should dress modestly to show respect for ancient cultural traditions and norms! Wearing leggings is not dressing modestly. No one wants to see women’s bootie at a mandir! And kissing on the lips at a Mandir is the equivalent to tourists etching their names onto the walls of Rome’s Colosseum. “This is my third time visiting this A2B and the food has been consistently good. The parking is private and plenty of parking available. As you enter the restaurant, the ambiance is so pleasant and welcoming. The staff greets and gets you seated. The menu is via app and is very easy to use.
We ordered Veg thali for dine in Then ordered Crispy corn, Veg Kothu parotta, vegetable fried rice and Idiyappam with coconut milk.
The Veg thali meals was good portion and came with rice, Roti, Sambar, veg kurma, Rasam, yogurt, a desert, few sides of vegetables like spinach dal fry and sweet potatoes. I missed the Puli Kozhambu instead got the Mor kolambu. Overall the taste was spot on for Southindian meal.
We did order some snacks for take home and they were perfect and fresh. The take order took very long and we got to know that Idiyappam will take longer and had to cancel that.

However, the five stars really goes for the people that work there. They are so friendly which is saying much now a days in the restaurant industry. “It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. “My wife and I went to Toscano for the first time to celebrate my birthday. We chose Toscano based on online reviews and comments on social media. It did not disappoint. We started with the harvest salad. We both had the 10 ounce filet mignon, with the garlic mashed potatoes and the sauteed spinach. The food was excellent. We both agreed that the steak was one of the best we ever had. The waitstaff at Toscano did a marvelous job. We also liked the vibe inside the restaurant. Noise level was moderate.“

“We went to dine with this rag tag restaurant and the experience was awful. The waitress had no teeth and asked my son for his? At first we thought “hey maybe they are joking” then all of a sudden. They lady grabbed his front bicuspid. Needless to say - at that point we were concerned. Because we had a long day we were still hungry. So we stuck around. The next thing you know. The toothless individual brought another toothless friend and tried to get my tooth as well. At that point. We know. Time to get out of here. We were cooked. Unlike the food at this gross place.“

“This place has really gone down hill. I think the reason they keep it open is because it’s right across from the movie theater and they have a captive audience. Most of the time, you can walk right in and sit, but the good times end there. Usually, they take forever with orders, the food comes out wrong or has been sitting in the window for 10 minutes and comes out like something from Wawa’s hot and ready food by the checkout. The waiters typically look like they’re running around blindfolded serving 20 tables on their own even though nobody is there. The drinks are yummy like Willy Wonka Made them, and I like the brownies and Jack Daniel’s chicken even if they don’t call it Jack Daniel’s anymore. At least they serve food late unlike the tavern downtown. Five stars.“

We opted for sandwiches. 2 ordered the roast pork, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and both finished and raved how delicious 😋 Other 2 of us ordered the cheesesteak with LTO, red wine vinegar and olive oil, I added light mayo. The rolls these sandwiches were served were fantastic 😋 The sammies were NOT "packed" with fillings like a cheesesteak joint. Nicely presented with homemade potato chips. Quality of ingredients is huge because I can't eat a lot. The red wine vinegar and olive oil was top notch. I use red wine vinegar almost daily 😋 I would definitely go back for the same meal, about 1hr from my home and worth the trip 😋“
