“Nice food and good customer service, only parking is hard to find.Had dinner food quality and quantity both were good.Resturant is small in size and has only 4 booth that I have seen.Nice and warm atmosphere inside. Open sitting arrangement outside as well. If all 4 booths are occupied then you have to wait and waiting area has only 1 couple seat, more than 2 persons have to wait outside.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. Friendly staff, delicious Beyond Burger wrap w sweet potato tots, and a deeeeelish freshly made strawberry lemonade. Highly recommend! I’m keeping this place in my fav saves. Food wise it was amazing but this time it was VERY loud with music and it was impossible to have a conversation. It ended up being a different experience than the one I planned because of how loud it was. “The Great Wazu is the reason small businesses are the HEART of a community. I am a soon-to-be small business owner myself. I walked in this place tonight like I do every 1-2 weeks to get dinner. Sara behind the counter has gotten to know me and ALWAYS remembers my order. Tonight, she asked me what was new, and I told her I had been upset all day worrying about all the stuff I have on my plate right now getting my business ready to open. She was the sweetest.
