“Ordered from Naples yesterday, the man who took my order was very patient and helpful considering I had to call back because I didn’t know what I was ordering. I ordered a meatball parm and a baked ziti. Both were absolutely delicious. Whenever I’m around Naples will be my go to for food. Food was very good, can’t wait to explore the menu more.“
“My boyfriend made reservations to Del Porto to celebrate my 43rd Birthday. This was our 1st time visiting this restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The staff are all nice especially our server Fermin. He was very pleasant and always had a warm smile. Our food was very delicious from the appetizer, crispy eggplant ,to my main course Bronzino and to my Tahitian Creme Brulee desert. I loved this restaurant and my experience here. I would definitely recommend to all. Very nice and classy look.Parking: Valet parking is available.“
“Greatest little Italian restaurant on Hylan Blvd. Food- Fantastic, Service- Superb, Ambiance-Amazing...their pre-fixed menus are the best and the prices are absolutely wonderful. I just had my 2nd party there and Robert took care of the set-up over the phone while Chris and his people handled the rest on Sunday March 10th. What was supposed to be a small family dinner for the 4 of us for our daughter's 6th birthday, turned into a small party of 17...they even got us her cake which was delicious, super fresh & super cute. I highly recommend Giuliana's not only for a party but even a night out for dinner with the family if you're not in the mood to cook & clean up afterwards. Our 1st dinner party was August 1st after our wedding at city hall on Richmond Terrace, that was during the week and for 12 people. The price did not match the outstanding service and brilliant mouth watering taste of the food, we could not stop talking about & praising Giuliana's for days afterwards & could not wait to have another gathering there which we did to celebrate our daughters birthday. Ask for Robert...tell him the Calvano's (Michael & Stephen) sent you“
“Walked in, didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The interiors felt like a high-end restaurant, and the food kept up with it!The covered outdoor space was comfy and classy, with beautiful green art on the walls. The flavors, taste, and texture were really top-notch Italian food I've had. Highly recommended.“
“Very nice place, very easy going, the owner puts you at ease straight away, and it's like having dinner at a friends house, I recommend it to everyone because the food is very good. The quality of the food is high.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“The other night we went to Sapori for dinner. We walked in and were greeted warmly. The staff here is super friendly and very accommodating. They seated us at our table by a window. The restaurant has a warm, romantic vibe with beautiful art work. We were given menus which is extensive and you have a lot to choose from plus they also had specials. They bring out bread, eggplant caponata and butter. I thought it was really good and different than just the traditional bread and butter option. We decided to go with fried calamari for an app. It was perfect.. Very crunchy, fresh.. lightly seasoned! Served with fresh tomato sauce. A rather large portion to share. Next for dinner I had a special- pistachio encrusted Chilean sea bass with citrus glaze and roasted veggies and potatoes. This was such a delightful dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pistachios were so good on top of the fish and the glaze balanced the dish. The veggies were crunchy and seasoned perfectly with garlic and butter. I really enjoyed this dish. The linguine with white clam sauce. Was fresh and extremely delicious. This dish was packed with clams and a ton of roasted garlic. I must say the pasta dishes are very large. Lastly spaghetti with marinara the sauce was fresh and we really enjoyed it. the spaghetti was more thicker like a bucatini. And unfortunately it was a tad under done. It needed a minute or two in the water to be perfectly al dente. Other than that this was a perfect dinner. For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake and tiramisu. It seemed like it was home made. Lava cake tasted amazing it was accompanied by vanilla ice cream. the tiramisu was light and not too sweet. Cappuccino was perfect not bitter or overly milky. By far I really enjoyed Sapori and I would def recommend coming here for dinner. The ambience, staff and food were extremely enjoyable! Parking in street. Small parking lot.“
“We absolutely love Due 360! Yesterday was our second time visiting and the service alone is impeccable(Luis, thank you for making the night even more special!), but then add to that the delicious food and ambiance makes for a perfect date night. We enjoyed the steak frites, octopus, garlic shrimp, and burrata! And the sangria was a perfect addition to our meal :) We will definitely be back again!“
“Don't sleep on visiting Fava. The food here is amazing! We had a trio of spreads and the lamb empanadas and both were incredible. But the best part of our lunch were the cocktails. The Fava margarita is a delightful play on a Caribbean margarita and the spritzes were fabulous. The cucumber one is like springtime in a glass! I'd drive up from Philly just to eat here!“
“First time bringing my baby to a nice restaurant and not only was the table set up with high chair but there was a lot of space for the stroller. they were very accommodating. great service! My baby loved the bread! My family was very happy with the food.“
“Deninos has great pizza and is usually nice and well done. I will admit I used to love their calamari - it was nice and crispy. But over the years the have changed the recipe, now it is chewy and kinda gross. I hate to throw shade on this pizzeria because I have been going there since I was a kid but I want to leave an honest review. And I wish they would update their glasses instead. They are so small and you got to suck with these tiny red straws. I'll admit I am not a fan of that (but it is tradition). I love their pizza but I will say it used to be better than it is currently. The last time I went here was 2 years ago. It was for a family birthday party. Most of my family was surprised with how much the recipes changed. However we mostly order pizza and calamari. So I can't say how the other menu options are. All in all I will continue to go here just not as frequently as I used to. Because it is far from my home and it just isn't what it used to be.“
“First time visit to this restaurant. Our server Alina was exceptional - made great recommendations. The service was on point. The staff is very efficient. I loved my drink "Pineapple Jalapeno Mockarita". The crab cake, the best we have ever had - no fillers, just fresh crab meat. It's even better than the ones you get in Alaska. Other dishes we ordered including Branzino, Halibut were delicious as well. Portions are big. Next time, we are going to try the salads, we have heard they are great. Memorable experience. Would love to go back.“
“Absolutely amazing experience. Waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, food came out quick and looked beautiful. I came for the shakshusa because I saw it was very well rated and it definitely did not disappoint! Would definitely come again.“
“Love this place. We’ve been coming here since we moved to the area 8 years ago. They’ve hosted our first baby shower and my parents birthday party. The food is excellent, I’m partial to the chicken Marsala and chicken francese. They also do a nut free pesto on request which is huge for nut allergy people like myself. The owners and staff are great, and the vibe inside is even better now that they’ve refreshed the place. Go! Bring your family!“
“Just had Ungaro's tonight for the 3rd time with my kids and it was just as great as ever. Kids are tough critics for pizza, but they loved it. They just have to work on the pronunciation of the name. I love driving back into the neighborhood I grew up in to support local family businesses as my family was in I know all to well how challenging it can be especially with regards to location. This place never disappoints. It's comfortable and quaint, always well lit with some classic Italian tunes on and the food knocks it out of the park. We enjoyed a classic cheese pie and mozzarella sticks, a must for my kids, and I got for the third time this fig and cheese app on crostini bread with a honey and glaze drizzle. Ming ! My only complaint is a kitchen staff member was taking a break while I was eating with my family and total disregard blasting some telemundo crap from two tables away at full volume. I was about more than halfway done but it totally messed up the vibe. Dinner with the kids, drizzling outside, they had a long day were talking about the neighborhood and Boom just a total left field hit of some random telemundo or something. And he had the phone propped up on a bottle of iced tea so I said to myself " well this experience has just ended ". I asked the waitress who was lovely if that man worked there she said yes so I asked her to take care of it and she did. If it was a regular patron I would have been polite and asked them to cut it. Now listen, I get it. The guy is taking a break and it's a small place. I just hate when workers do things they wouldn't do if the owners were there. The guy even turned the phone back on but lower about 15 minutes later, I could hear it dude !! That's rude! Bring some headphones to work. Business is hard enough without ownership having to worry about a rogue dishwasher not giving a rats ass about their business and what they are trying to build. Anyone ever experiencing this, say something right away. Can't wait to be back in the neighborhood and try some new things.“
“We took my mom for her 82nd birthday last night. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The food is beyond amazing. Real authentic homeade Italian food you don't find at too many places. The Chef/Owner came out to say hello and meet us. Such a nice and humble guy. The manager and waitress couldn't be nicer. I highly recommend this delicious restaurant. You WILL NOT be disappointed. The BEST around!!!!!!“
“I ordered the Fra Diavolo pizza and it was exquisite! The sauce, spices, calamari, tomato sauce,, scallops, shrimp, parmigiana, reggiano and pizza all combined to make a perfectly balanced spicy, but not, overwhelming dish. I only needed a small glass of vino to accompany this dish. The spices and pizza balanced each other, fanatastic!“
“Food very good, reasonable prices. Small but eclectic menu. Wines surprisingly good by the glass--the Chianti a great choice. Excellent service. They've earned their good ratings here. One caveat: the bread is like sponge cake, they could make a better choice.“
“I've been looking for a local, full service coffee shop that roasts their own beans, sells coffee/espresso, as well as offers breakfast and lunch.**This IS that place**I couldn't tell from their website, but the posts I saw on insta showed that they serve food, and I'm happy to report that it tastes as good as it looks!Very friendly staff and accommodating. Although it's currently the middle of December, I wanted a macchiato over ice, which wasn't on their menu, but when I asked they happily said 'of course'.Seems like I'm going to have to sign up for their points system because I can tell I'm going to be back here a whole lot more.I'm particularly interested in sampling their beans, just wish i didn't have to buy an entire bag of beans. Why don't these local roasters sell sample packs, allowing you to still purchase a pound of beans, but separated into small batches with samples of each bean type? This would allow me to quickly figure out which bean I want to try without having to buy a single large bag and take a month to go through coffee I don't really like before trying the next type . . . Or maybe i should start roasting my own beans and do this method . . .Anyways, I really like the space they have, they've really made the most of it, very cozy and inviting. Can't wait to go back“
“Recommended to us, which we are glad for - as we would have never walked in on our own. Visited for a late lunch. The entire menu is dynamic and unique. The portion sizes are small by NY standards but were how we really should eat - reminiscent of how it is in Italy. The 17yr old waitress we had was extremely professional, attentive & overall very pleasant. The thing I would comment on is the ambiance (think ice cream shop (way too bright) lighting and diner type furnishings) does not match the high quality of their food.We had one glass of wine, a soda, beef carpaccio appetizer, truffle gnocchi & osso bucco, one dessert & a cup of tea. $160 after tip.Would return to try other entrees for the delicious food & great service. Just not as a romantic dinner or celebration, solely because of the lighting & decor.“
“I dined here last night with friends, and it was a 10/10 experience! Everything we ate was delicious, but I cannot stop talking about the ravioli, the homemade cookies, and the steak! The wine was delicious and their selection is endless. The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. Our server was very attentive and we never felt rushed. I cannot wait to go back!“
“The food is great! So are the reviews Design your own pasta dish -- sauce, pasta, protein, vegetable Home made ingredients, well-flavored, excellent chef from Naples. Very nice deserts too Don't be fooled by strip mall location. Just go!“
“Although we did not have reservations, the host/owner was very accommodating and welcoming. All staff members were friendly with open smiles. Foodwise, with kids, I was forced to order the plain margarita pizza but ordered the clam pasta and entree with eggplant and chicken (forgot the name). Since I ate the pizza when it was cooled, the dough was a bit tough. Perhaps I'll have to have it when it comes right out. All the pasta and entrees were good. I do recommend this place bc 1) owner and staff was wonderful, 2) food was better than your plain Jane Italian joints.“
“Almost hidden on a small street in Belleville, Me & Tommy's looks like someone's house from the outside. Once inside, you are immediately treated as a guest in a friend's home. We received such a warm welcome, that my husband asked if I knew the staff. That level of service continued throughout the entire meal. I can't remember the last time I experienced such outstanding service. The dining area is quite small, and they are busy all night. I would most definitely call for a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is lively and boisterous. Not meant for a quiet romantic evening. Kinda like a loud Sunday family dinner vibe. For food: Smothered Rice Balls in Vodka Sauce, Stuffed Cubanelle Peppers, Pasta Volognese, and Artichoke Chicken. For me, the Rice Balls were my favorite dish. Generously portioned, the rice balls are a cheesy carb delight. The famous vodka sauce was creamy and plentiful. Highly recommend. The Stuffed Peppers were two very large, beautiful cubanelles (my personal fav pepper). My husband loved the stuffing, while I did think it was a touch over seasoned. The Volognese- cross btw vodka and bolognese) was enormous! It does lean more to the bolognese, but was tasty nonetheless. My Chicken Artichoke special consisted of three chicken breasts with mozzarella and artichoke hearts in a white wine lemon sauce over linguine. This was a very tasty and satisfying dish, and -you guessed it- generous. We shared an Affogatto with Bailey's liqueur for dessert which was a perfect end to the meal. Even my espresso was delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. We took home enough left overs for another meal! We will most definitely return.“
“This place was very reasonably priced, an unexpected surprise for the atmosphere. The salad seemed a little small, but everything else was incredible. Fresh hot bread, and probably the best Chicken Francese I've ever had... I highly recommend this place for an amazing meal, with friendly and attentive service in a white tablecloth elegant atmosphere!“
“We had a group of 10 and service was great. We felt like we were personally attended by very polite and friendly waiters and waitresses. Food 2as authentic and scrumscious. Dessert was homemade and unique.Parking: On a Friday night there was parking witjin a block.“
“I ordered stuffed pepperoni garlic knots w/ vodka sauce and a grilled chicken Cesar salad wrap, did not disappoint!!! Food was great and delivered rather quickly. The few times I called for take out, they are always so nice over the phone, as well as the delivery drivers. Thank you Italian Touch for good dinners :)“
“This honestly was some great food. I’m not gonna lie I be iffy about New Jersey food being from NYC but tbh this was bussin. If you know you know. I’m definitely coming back with my friends, because this is where it’s at! Loved itttt.“
“This place is my most reliable stop off for dinner between Brooklyn and union county. I travel this route M-F. I come here often and it never disappoints. I drive past all the Brooklyn hot spots (Gino’s, bamontes and Michaels) and arrive at Casa Verde because of the quality of the Italian food. If you travel this route I highly suggest stopping in if you are hungry for a great meal.“
“RSVP is def needed and recommended. Almost missed out on this amazing establishment. Thankful for a cancellation. Food taste and presentation was perfect, staff was kind, friendly and happy. I always say if the staff is happy the customers will be too. Definitely highly recommended.“
“First time trying Anthony’s. I must say amazing experience all around. The girl at the front register was so nice, the sandwich making guy in the back(who I thought was Anthony himself but I didn’t know) good personality. The inside looks spotless, great decor, and felt very cool inside.I got one of Thursday specials which is the Porchetta with the crispy skin! It comes with broccoli rabe and fresh smoked mozzarella. I must say this might be the best pork sandwich I’ve ever eaten.Great crunch to the skin, very flavorful, the broccoli rabe is a great complement and the mozz is also a great addition. Best sandwich on Staten Island. We also tried the rice ball with and without meat, and the potato croquettes. Might be best on the island. So fresh!!I can’t wait to go back to try the others(except Thursday because Thursdays you know what I’m getting!!!)Anthony you out did yourself!!My score10 out of 10“
“Clean environment and the food is delish. Tony is the best. Not only does he serve a friendy atmosphere, but he cooks with his heart.Love the "Metro Special Pizza" however"Eggplant Rollatini on a Hero is my favorite. It's a definite must try!!!Thanks Tony for having such a tasty menu and getting me out of the kitchen.“
“My boyfriend and I have been going to verdes for about 6 months now and they do not disappoint! Their food is delicious, they strive to perfect their recipes and it shows! We just enjoyed their Christmas catering due to our situation not allowing me to cook my usual set up; and oh my was it worth it! The staff are great people as well. Highly recommend this place!“
“We went for my birthday and what a gift it was. The service by Lea was amazing, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The owner kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. And the food, oh the food was outstanding. Their strip steak was absolutely delicious melted in your mouth perfectly cooked and prepared. If you haven’t tried it there yet I absolutely recommend you do.Parking: I found a spot right outside and so did the other 2 cars that came with us. I went on a Wednesday night don’t know if that matters, there’s still plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: They were so patient and kind with my 3 grandchildren.“
“Loads of food, huge variety to choose from, great service and atmosphere..good vibes all around what more can you ask for from a restaurant? I’ve only been to Manny’s pizza twice and can guarantee you I’ll be there many more times! Can’t recommend this place enough“
“Excellent traditional Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, made with care, packed with flavor and generous portions and prices were reasonable. Service was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere had some charm, nice bar area. Decent parking available on the street. Meals I tried - Chicken Marsala was one of the best I’ve ever had and I try them everywhere. Sauce had so much flavor, nice thickness, lots of mushrooms and nice big thick tender chicken breasts. Also tried another pasta dish with ground sausage and cream sauce with sun dried tomatoes- also very good and unique dish. Also tried the risotto, not the best I’ve had but tasty, it had a brownish kind of sausage but was huge (impossible to eat in one sitting) and came with 4 fresh nicely grilled jumbo shrimp. In summary it’s the kind of place where I can tell everything you order is good and I look forward to going back and trying a lot of other dishes.“
“This was another first for us but after reading the reviews we decided to try it. We went around 6:00 so we were seated right away. Service was fast. My son wanted a burger my husband ordered the steak sandwich and french onion soup and I ordered the shrimp scampi. The only thing I was a little disappointed was that the shrimp scampi came with nothing you had to pay to put rice and broccoli as sides so that made it a little pricey about $40. We didn't wait long for the food and the food was delicious none of us had any complaints very tasty nice size portions. Once we received our food the restaurant became a little bit more crowded and then nobody ever came over again to ask us if we needed anything or even wanted dessert. So we just asked for the check. In total for two drinks, a Shirley Temple a soup and three entrees the check was about $100 which we thought was very reasonable. The food was delicious and again the service was good up until the end when they got a little busier but other than that I think we would definitely go back. We parked on the street. The parking lot isn't that big but I think you can find plenty of parking in the neighborhood.“
“This place is so much more than just a market. The owner takes special pride and care, and making sure every item is perfectly curated and absolutely delicious!I know this sounds crazy, but this little hole in the wall has some of the best meatballs I’ve ever had in my life! As well as some seriously killer sandwiches, and they make all of their potato chips in house! You have to get the truffle they’re so so addictive, and addictive if you’re feeling like you want to satisfy your sweet tooth they have so many chocolate covered items! My personal favorite is the Nutter butter, but don’t believe me go see for yourself“
“Awesome place to host a party or event food was great people were great and very nice and hard working too bad u can only give 5 stars. They made us fell like we were the only ones in the whole place. Thanks again guys for my babies 16bday u guys made it “
“My experience tonight has reclaimed my love for Nola pizza. I’ve never questioned how amazing the pizza was, it was more when they first opened the wait was outrageously long and often was not ready after the two and a half hour wait. It was because of that I haven’t been back until tonight. Expecting the wait would still be long for a Sunday, called around 5:30 and given a pickup time of 6:45, significantly improved! My order was JUST taken out of the oven when I walked in at 6:45 and to no surprise, the pizza was divine. Got the Diavolo with vodka instead of spicy and it was just perfection. I can’t wait to be back, just need to be mindful of when I want to eat and when to order.“
“Jimmy Max has always been a Staten Island staple to me, but I recently hosted a first party for my daughter there and can now double down on that sentiment. :-) Erin was so wonderful to work with leading up to the party. She was quick to respond via email, answered all of my questions, and sat with us in person to sort out final details. The day of the event, Erin and the rest of the staff worked so hard to make sure that everyone was happy throughout the day. It’s the first party I’ve hosted where I felt relaxed from start to finish - and that’s all thanks to the staff at Jimmy Max. The food was delicious and plentiful! The space was beautiful! And the staff was an a+ team! Highly recommend for a party of any kind!“
“What is not to like about this place?Warning: if you have a shopping list or have an idea of what you are planning to buy, try to stick with it. Otherwise, you will end up buying much more ?Their meatballs are so good that they don't last more than a day.Their sandwiches are great as well and with one you even have enough for 2 meals. The only item that is not my favorite is their mozzarella cheese, which I find too salty. But if you mix it with mushrooms you can make great quesadillas.“
“Just went there for the first time with my family. I won’t share pics because there’s non food left on the plates after we got one bite ?If you’re looking for Italian authentic food this place is for you! I love Italian food but OMG what Silvio, the owner, did with special salad, its addiction! My husband doesn’t eat salads but he was soo impressed , he told me at the end, we need to come more often just to have salad in particular. I ordered Spagetti Carbonara, the best one I’ve ever had in my life! My husband LOVED desert and espresso with ice cream, I finished with cappuccino which btw was absolutely incredible! Everything should get 10,000 stars not 5! Service, food, atmosphere are 10/10! As the hack, you should try it on the weekdays when it’s more quiet and you can get some specials from the owner!“
“Matt and his team do an amazing job with fresh meals to dine in or take away. Their fresh pasta to take and cook is fantastic, and the sauces are delicious. The assortment of local and Italian goods the best around. They have done an amazing job with my catering orders as well for parties both large and small.Vegetarian options: Great options for accommodating vegetarians, as well as helpful with special asks and requests.“
“MY FAMILY Loves this restaurant. the atmosphere is so homey . Love that is BYOB. And above all the owner, omg he is one of the most generous restaurant owners in the world. If the restaurant is full, he will send a pizza on the house while you wait for your food. Pizza is so delicious, crispy, and one of our favorites in town. All their dishes are amazing as well .“
“Stopped in to check out the place for a private party. Had a quick fancy drink, that was amazingly delicious! The owner is very friendly and the place is as clean as a whistle! Definitely coming back hereParking: Had to circle around a few times to find parking. Someone left so I was lucky!“
“Easily my favorite gourmet deli in union county. It’s dangerous to come here when you’re hungry. The sandwiches are the best in the area, and the prepared foods are excellent as well. The service is unequaled, and to top it all off, the prices are no more expensive than many other places with inferior products. I’ve sworn off all other delis.“
“My second experience was even better than the first ? I was actually looking for a different eatery with similar names. I ended up @ Touch of Italy ??,. And it was the right choice. I ordered the Apple ? salad, which was excellent. Thanks again for the great food and the great conversation ?“
“Haven't been here in a while, but I organized a repast for my Dad. Very close to Holy Cross cemetery. Service and food were excellent. Had wheelchair ramp for my Mom, which was important.Parking: Large parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Outdoor ramp with portable indoor ramp.“
“We had my grandfather's 100th birthday ? this past weekend there. Everything was great, except they had no valet parking. I'd recommend valet parking for events with sitting guests in the future.Parking: There was plenty of parking. However, they had no valet, and I prefer valet parking.Kid-friendliness: Yes, they were kids friendly. The waitresses were very professional.“
“My first experience at Mario’s definitely left a great impression!! When I came in they were already finished making pizzas for the night but the owner and his daughter was so kind to make me one right before they were about to walk out the door.-Oh and not to mention the pizza was really good definitely coming back!!“
