“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“We came across this bar while passing by looking for something for lunch. Here the British interior meets a typical American cellar bar. The service was good, the burgers and fries were great!!! We were with our children at noon and felt very comfortable.“

“Come for the trivia stay because it's a really awesome place to be. E's Bar is preeeetttty awesome and quite a good size to be able to have a good time! The drinks are reasonably priced and the Tres Fish Tacos are BOMB. I appreciate the fact that they choose to be a sustainable bar with their LED lighting and purchasing of carbon offsets. It's hard for bars to reduce their environmental impact so any step matters. It always seems like everyone's having a good time here- not trashy at all, just a good neighborhood bar. And they have theme nights too which is fun.“

“Chose this place for a few reasons, we were traveling with a child who's fairly picky and I knew pizza would be a hit, the ability to make a reservation and walkability from times square. The restaurant is small, but was fairly quiet on a Thursday night. We were seated right away and the staff was quick and friendly. We enjoyed our pizza very much! The garlic knots were amazing and we also really loved the whipped ricotta appetizer.

“I had visited the Hoptimist a few times before moving back to NYC and the staff are always incredibly nice & pleasant to talk with. I brought my dog since moving and she has been welcomed with open arms (she is adjusting to NYC after living on the dog friendly west coast). Since we are in the neighborhood we will likely become frequent visitors since I like beer (and they have a great selection!) & my dog likes attention.“

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. I really love the unique atmosphere of the place -warm, classy and comfortable all at once. No boring old chain restaurant vibes here. Everyone had a great time. I would definitely host future events here.“

“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“A fab spot to chill in after a busy day. The inside area is small and cosy but they have a wraparound balcony with amazing views. The drinks are nice and the staff excellent. I really liked that the bar was for customers only. We didnt have to worry about getting a space there, or changing out of comfy clothes to fit in with the drinking crowd.“
