“Excellent little diner inside the convenience store right next to Dunkin donuts. It's a family-owned business. It's a husband and wife. The wife makes the best empanadas there. They're fresh, made every single day. The chicharron is excellent. And I love the breakfast sandwiches. That's usually my go-to there. I get a a pork roll egg and cheese with jalapenos and they get my order right every single time.“

“We received an advertisement with a coupon in the mail today and this place looked right up my alley. Having grown up in California, I am always on the hunt for really good Mexican food. I ordered dinner for my wife and I and it was great. The carnitas were excellent and the guacamole was great. The only thing I wish they had on their menu was Chile Verde as I can’t seem to find it on the East Coast. I will definitely be back soon as their takeout was hot and fresh. I’m glad to have found this place.“

“Overall a good experience. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we both really enjoyed the atmosphere. They gave her a cute birthday card. The waitress was very attentive, and came back multiple times to make sure everything was going well. The food was good, but my drinks were not. I ordered 2 rum and cokes. The first one tasted like it barely had any rum in it so I got a double and it tasted the same.“

Being that we love the food so much and we go quite often I decided to learn Spanish and I communicated what food we wanted in Spanish and to my surprise we got exactly what i asked for. Anyway, I highly recommend this place as the food is so fresh and full of flavor! We get the Empanadas and Huaraches with a side of rice/beans.“

“First time customer. I got two beef tortas and one chicken milanesa torta. The bread was fresh, meat tender and so flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Even the fries were well seasoned and crispy. The cheese, crema and avocado added balance to all the flavors. Excellent service and experience overall. The young lady answers very politely, understands our order and gets it right every-time! It is ready is a very timely manner. It is carefully packed, with salsas and chips. Most orders include a little salad, limes, and yummy chiles. We love the enchiladas verdes, pollo empanizado (breaded chicken cutlet). The arroz and fríjoles are DELICIOUS! “I ate at the Monroe store today. I had never been at a Buubakoos before and did not know what to expect. I had the pork burrito and it was off the hook. The place was spotless and the service was spot on. The manager came over and introduced himself as John and asked if everything was satisfactory, and it was more than satisfactory. You would think John was the owner not just the manager, he cared as if was his own business. It was good to see that. I will be back for sure, my new go to place.“

The birria tacos tasted so good! The beef was tender, flavorful. My pescado tacos were fresh and flavorful, & the chicken tacos were juicy and well-seasoned. The beef nacho fries were also a must-try, with generous toppings and plenty of flavor in every bite. Also the restaurant is family friendly I had an infant with me and my friends, they were super accommodating to us and made us feel so welcomed!!“

“So I found this restaurant on “Perth Amboy Eats” website and wanted to try their $1 tacos and empanadas Tuesday special I payed $8 in total but they missed a taco which is ok because I understand the are busy! Overall the empanadas were good the tacos were underwhelming with flavor (all the flavors) but service was fast and good, and it’s a $1.00 but I’ve had better flavorful tacos for a $1.00 somewhere else, but it’s ok 👍🏽“

I look forward to trying the crunch wrap. The temperature of the food could be hotter and a side of rice or chips would be nice with the regular taco meal. They have 2 person tables for seating. Late night hours are helpful.“

“My sister told me about her local go-to for tacos. I tried the 3 tacos de birria. It was absolutely delicious. Sizeable portion (I was full with 2) and it came with a consome that you could dip the tacos.

Also, the owner is so kind. She wrote a get well note for my mom on her order. I had mentioned that had been sick.

Before leaving the area, I am heading back for another order. Definitely recommend.“
