“It's one of the best authentic japanese restaurants in South Jersey! The ambienence is casual and welcoming. The staff is extremely friendly and delivered top-tier service. Takeout is available. We dined in and had the japanese cucumber salad (highly recommend if you like spicy pickle flavors), takoyaki, ma-yu (black garlic ramen), tonkotsu (fried pork) ramen and red bean mochi ice cream. The portions are generous, and ramen can be customized to accommodate your flavor preference. A perfect place for a date night or sharing a meal with friends / family.“

I had the filet mignon and chicken and was barely able to eat everything. “I finally stopped into Sakura Japanese Steak House and ordered some takeout. A few shrimp tempura rolls and shrimp avocado rolls. Delicious, I will be going back. Service was great, the rolls were made fresh while I waited, and I did not have to wait long. Even at the very busy dinner time. The phone was ringing constantly and the staff was quick to answer and take the orders that were coming in....If you are a fan of sushi I recommend Sakura Japanese Steak House on the White Horse Pike in Oaklyn.“

“I am a grad student at Rowan, so I am on a budget. Most of the restaurants close to Rowan (the ones on Rowan Blvd in particular) are pricey. This restaurant is within my budget around $10. I asked the owner if I could order differently than what was on the menu. Buns and fries are not my favorite so in place of them I asked for wings, dumplings and rolls. She cooked it for me. Next time I will order rice and shrimp (love shrimp).“

The vegetables were perfect and the meat was delicious, temperature, flavor and presentation were outstanding. “I would like to share a bit of a positive thing that happened. I went to Classic Asia (AKA BEST PLACE EVER) and ordered take-out Shrimp Pho soup. When I got there, the woman (who is already so nice) told me they didn't accept AMEX cards. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me. So I said, "okay I'll be right back, I'll go grab cash!" Her reply was " No no, don't worry about it. Next time you order just tell us it's you! I couldn't believe it. I was like HUH?! How is someone being this kind ?!? I told her, she was insanely sweet and that I would be right back with cash payment. She goes "okay but don't rush, go and eat first and just come back whenever!" Don't worry i called as soon as I got home! How amazing are they?? This was super special to me, because I have MS and sometimes have issues walking and standing. In a time of need, the owner basically put my needs above hers. Just so sweet!!!“

However after eating sushi from several other restaurants I have to unfortunately say, it is not the best. Don't get me wrong it's still really good and sometimes I just need a good heeling of Hewa, but it's the variety that allows Hewav to excel not necessarily the quality. That being said they are the best of the middle, only being beat by higher end swanky sushi places. Everyone should go here for the every day sushi or Chinese, it is just a solid meal everytime.“

We first tried other sushi places around the area that were rated highly on google (in other areas we have felt Google is usually accurate), and were very disappointed with the quality of the sushi at those places. We found this place and saw that it had all you can eat sushi and originally were not expecting much due to the reviews. However, we were blown away by the quality of the sushi. We ordered multiple rounds of different fish, especially their salmon, as shown in our photo. This is some of the highest quality sushi we have ever had. We can't speak for the other food since we have now always done the AYCE sushi. But, we can not recommend this restaurant enough, we now find ourselves always craving their sushi! We spoke to the family owners and they were very nice. I really have never written a review for a restaurant, but I had to! They have some of the highest quality sushi you can get on the east coast, make sure to try it out!“

“This has become our new favorite Chinese restaurant! Prices may be a little higher than other restaurants around but the quality and the quantity of food are outstanding. Deff worth it! This is our second time ordering and we wanted to try something different. The Fiancé order beef Lo-mein, I order a MaLa Dry pot with chicken, baby corn, carrots, broccoli, cashews, pineapple, lo-mein and fried rice and sesame seeds. This was my first time ordering this plate, and let me tell you it was huge!! For $15 this plate can easily feed 4 people. I took some for me and my 6 year old and there’s still enough for 3 people. The picture was after dinner and does not include the rice that came with it. The chicken was tender, the broccoli was crispy and the pineapple was sweet. If you have never had fried pineapple and cashews rice you should definitely try it from China Cook. We also order cheese wontons and they were sweet and crunchy. Delicious! The spring rolls are freshly fried and have great flavor. The chicken and cheese roll was really good. We spent around $38 but the food is worth it. They have plenty of other items, like sushi and bento boxes. Order online and pick up in store is as easy as it sounds! Try them, you won’t regret it!“
