“My family of 10 went for a birthday. We had a great time. The food was delicious. The performance was extremely entertaining. The fire volcano was iconic! Everyone loved that. The service was top notch. We all had a great time and will be coming back. I felt that the price was worth the experience. It was about $35 a person. More then half of us ordered the steak.“

“My daughter said that she was looking to have sushi for lunch today, so we decided to give Herosame in Ardmore a try. Wow, this is one of the best sushi meals we've had in the Philly area and definitely on the Main Line. I called in our takeout order and the server who took our order was very friendly and polite as was the server who brought us our order while we waited in the vestibule. We ordered the Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box and the Lunch Triple Roll Combo. Wow! I thought they had accidentally give us another person's order as the bags were quite heavy. Both lunch specials could easily be split over two meals or at least a meal and a leftovers snack. The Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box included a small house salad, a pint of Miso Soup, 2 Shumai, a California Roll, 6 large Teriyaki Shrimp and a pint of steamed white rice. The salad was a crisp and refreshing spring mix with thinly shredded carrots and a halved grape tomato with a delicious dressing. The Miso soup was very rich and tasty. The Shumai were delicious with a nice crisp exterior, but soft, tender and enjoyable meat inside. The California Roll was huge and stuffed with super fresh crab stick and vegetables topped off with tobiko. The Teriyaki Shrimp were just a hair overcooked, but still delicious. The Three Roll Lunch Combo featured a choice of three rolls from a list of twenty different rolls so my daughter picked the Shrimp Avocado Roll, Tempura Roll and Philly Roll. All three rolls, just like my Bento Box's California Roll were huge with the Shrimp Tempura Rolls being gigantic. One piece of the tempura roll was at least twice the size of other sushi rolls I've had. Each roll was stuffed with the traditional meats and veggie fillings. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Herosame will definitely be on our family's list for future Japanese lunches and dinners!“

“I've been coming to Tampopo for nearly 20 years, and it still holds a special place in my heart. The spicy tofu bowl is my go-to, and the veggie gyoza never disappoints. So many great meals here over the years. Miss when it has multiple locations. If you're ever in UCity and haven't been yet, it's definitely worth a visit!“

My friend and I started with the oysters and tuna tasting platter. The oysters were exquisite, and the tuna was, as always, exceptional. We followed with the sushi and sashimi combination, adding salmon, king salmon, and chutoro and Otoro. Heavenly doesn’t even begin to describe it. Every bite was beautifully balanced and absolutely delicious.

The cocktails are equally well crafted, and we ended the meal with sorbet—lemon for my friend and coconut for me. The perfect, refreshing finish to an outstanding meal.

“Just in case any vegans or vegetarians were avoiding this place like i was, the vegan menu is HUGE now and absolutely kicks the ass of any nearby place. I came the day it opened and was not impressed by the selection of vegetarian options so had not returned. I just went today and was blown away by the Ube special roll and many others they have now. Also the service was great! Gave me a free vegan roll he was working on. Just delightful.“

“Although it’s named “to-go” there are actually 2 tables inside for dine in with 4 chairs each. I got the lunch special and they brought my food out and gave me iced water with it! The sushi was fresh and delicious. The man who brought my food out even turned the fan on and put it in my direction. They are all super friendly! “I went for a dinner. I was impressed with authentic Japanese taste offered here. Portion size is very satisfying. Good sushi, ramen noodles were authentic. Pork slices on top were delicious. I ordered takeouts of guidon and curry. I'd come back there when I am in the area next time. It seems majority of people are ordering pickups. Many customers came to pick up their orders. The dining space is nicely prepared and the room ready for anyone to come and dine.“

“First impressions, trying to park was a bit confusing I still don't know if parking where I did is right. there is a small area around the restaurant that seems like it could be parking but no lines or guidance out front. Also this place is really small looking on the outside. As soon as I walked in it felt really awkward.i almost walked back out because everyone was just staring at me. Finally after what seemed like forever the sushi chef greeted me. When I was seated the waitress took my order and served me promptly. The miso soup was delicious. The edamame tasted fresh. The prices are a bit more than what I'm use to. I also had the sushi and sashimi lunch combo. The fish tasted very fresh and cleaned very well. Which explains the price. I would come back. Give it a try.

The sushi pizza was creative and delicious, the salmon donut was fresh and beautifully made, and the cheesedog was such a fun and tasty choice. “My family had a wonderful time here for my son's 11th birthday! He wanted to try out the hibachi experience, so we reserved a hibachi table. There was another family at the table across from us enjoying a meal as well. The food was incredible (though not one of us managed to catch a piece of it in our mouths), my husband said it was the best meal he's had all year. The hibachi room is decorated with murals of video game & cartoon characters like Mario & SpongeBob, which was great because my son is a gamer. We brought a birthday cake in with us, and the other family joined in to sing "Happy Birthday" & shared his cake with us. The service was great. It was an all around wonderful time, & we will definitely be returning!“

“One of the few Chinese restaurants that still put egg in their pork fried rice. Their beef and broccoli is out of this world. The beef is so tender. They use only the tops of broccoli and not the whole stem which some places do just to fill the bulk up in the container. This is a must-go see and the picture I'm posting is today leftovers. Online ordering can be finnicky if ordering Lunch specials though, the site's clock seems to think it's an hour later than it actually is so you can't submit an order containing lunch specials after 2pm despite them being available until 3pm. You get an error telling you it's after 3pm & that you have to change your order, however calling to order them was no issue.“

“I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times, but this is my first time writing a review. I brought my friend here for a visit from California, and it did not disappoint! The crispy chicken I ordered was fantastic—perfectly cooked with a light salt coating on top that made it extra crispy. It was really delicious! I highly recommend this place!“
