“My daughter said that she was looking to have sushi for lunch today, so we decided to give Herosame in Ardmore a try. Wow, this is one of the best sushi meals we've had in the Philly area and definitely on the Main Line. I called in our takeout order and the server who took our order was very friendly and polite as was the server who brought us our order while we waited in the vestibule. We ordered the Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box and the Lunch Triple Roll Combo. Wow! I thought they had accidentally give us another person's order as the bags were quite heavy. Both lunch specials could easily be split over two meals or at least a meal and a leftovers snack. The Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box included a small house salad, a pint of Miso Soup, 2 Shumai, a California Roll, 6 large Teriyaki Shrimp and a pint of steamed white rice. The salad was a crisp and refreshing spring mix with thinly shredded carrots and a halved grape tomato with a delicious dressing. The Miso soup was very rich and tasty. The Shumai were delicious with a nice crisp exterior, but soft, tender and enjoyable meat inside. The California Roll was huge and stuffed with super fresh crab stick and vegetables topped off with tobiko. The Teriyaki Shrimp were just a hair overcooked, but still delicious. The Three Roll Lunch Combo featured a choice of three rolls from a list of twenty different rolls so my daughter picked the Shrimp Avocado Roll, Tempura Roll and Philly Roll. All three rolls, just like my Bento Box's California Roll were huge with the Shrimp Tempura Rolls being gigantic. One piece of the tempura roll was at least twice the size of other sushi rolls I've had. Each roll was stuffed with the traditional meats and veggie fillings. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Herosame will definitely be on our family's list for future Japanese lunches and dinners!“

“My family and I have been a customer here for years. We met Jae right as he was opening the restaurant and have been coming ever since. We cannot recommend the sushi here enough - absolutely delicious, wide menu, and interesting special options for bigger groups. Don’t be surprised if Jae himself comes by your table to check in. Environment is also friendly for kids. Just be sure to check the operating days and hours carefully so you are not disappointed if you arrive to find it closed. Everyone in the Bryn Mawr area should try Sushi Land at least once!“

“Wednesday I came up the escalator to find that there is a buy 2 get 1 free sushi special on Wednesdays! I haven’t gotten sushi here in quite some time, but am soooo happy I did. Shrimp Tempura, Yellowtail Scallion, and Salmon rolls for $18?? And it was extremely fresh, I can’t emphasize the quality of this sushi for the price. I feel like the shrimp tempura could have been cut in larger pieces to avoid them falling apart as much but hey it’s all going in my tummy anyway.

“My family had a wonderful time here for my son's 11th birthday! He wanted to try out the hibachi experience, so we reserved a hibachi table. There was another family at the table across from us enjoying a meal as well. The food was incredible (though not one of us managed to catch a piece of it in our mouths), my husband said it was the best meal he's had all year. The hibachi room is decorated with murals of video game & cartoon characters like Mario & SpongeBob, which was great because my son is a gamer. We brought a birthday cake in with us, and the other family joined in to sing "Happy Birthday" & shared his cake with us. The service was great. It was an all around wonderful time, & we will definitely be returning!“

Online ordering can be finnicky if ordering Lunch specials though, the site's clock seems to think it's an hour later than it actually is so you can't submit an order containing lunch specials after 2pm despite them being available until 3pm. You get an error telling you it's after 3pm & that you have to change your order, however calling to order them was no issue.“

“Pearl Chinese & Japanese Cuisine location on North Lansdowne Ave has good employees that provide good food that is made with care. While I visited in April 2026, Dine in tables were just available in one room near the chefs cutting board station. The small dinning room is in this reviews pictures for customers to see. The other main dining room was blocked off. Keep up the good work on To-Go orders quick pick up times. Their location reminds me of a normal house. “This is the current highest quality Chinese food in at least 50 miles. The food is always fresh and never taste or smells old. They use fresh ingredients. I've ordered from other places and got old rotted meat, but Sakura Teriyaki is always fresh. They have big juicy whole shrimps instead of the processed frozen shrimps. You can really taste the difference in quality when ordering food here. It's always fresh and delicious.I'm knocking down one star because they didn't give chop sticks or spicy mustard with our order. Also, when did places stop giving complimentary egg rolls? Also, if you order egg rolls without specifying a meat, they'll just give you basic vegetable egg rolls without asking any questions. The person taking the order should make more of an effort to make sure you're getting what you want instead of just putting in an order by checking off boxes. Other than that, this is the ONLY place where I will go to get Chinese food because it's the best Chinese food.“
