“New Year's Eve was very cold outside We were seated in the front of the bar next to the folding doors which were very drafty and every time I the front door opened we felt an arctic blast. Not much Ryan the manager could do. We spoke to him about getting a different table in a warmer spot but none available. We just laughed it off and tried to enjoy our dinner. portions were large and our waiter, Regall? Suggested sharing which worked out great. Kung Pao chicken and pork fried rice was good but our location cooled the food quickly. Manager and waiter could not have been more apologetic and friendly. They also appreciated that we did not complain like others did.“

“Best lo mein in the area. I get mine with roast pork. This was my secondary place after House of Chong, also in Middletown, which has unfortunately been lacking lately. Tai Hing just moved up to number one. They are cleverly closed on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, since so many restaurants are closed then. The prices are also really fair and a good value. “We found ourselves in the Red Bank area for an event and were looking for a late meal that wouldn’t break the bank. RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. “This is not our usual place. Either is the one across the street, which we ordered the day before and we’re extremely disappointed to the point that we wanted Chinese again the following night and we chose Golden Jade. Flat-out great food here and I knew it because it’s family run and everyone was friendly. You can tell they take pride in their cooking. We had fried dumplings which would great - they give you 8 and my only critique is they need more filling but the taste is great. The house lomein and house fried rice were outstanding. Fresh and not over sauced. The chicken and broccoli and the general tso chicken were what you expect in the taste department and we’re done very well. Their egg rolls were tasty. The highlight though was the boneless spareribs. So many places get this wrong - these were the best I’ve had in the area even topping my usual place. They had the right amount of glaze, weren’t tough and were made completely using rib meat. Sweet, salty, and easy to chew. This place didn’t disappoint and if it’s a battle between Golden Jade or the one across the street in the junction, Golden Jade is easily the winner.“

“I just bought an order of food from this place, Peking House, located in Sunset Ave for 3 of my 4 family members and WOW! Everything was absolutely delicious and perfect! The lady at the counter was very pleasant and professional. She took my order, spoke to the 2 chefs, and they got right onto making my order. When I got home, me, my wife, and her mom dug in and WOW! Everything was absolutely delicious! This will now be my new go to place for Asian food.“

I wish there wasn't a 10 dollar minimum for credit cards (who carries cash?) but that's not their fault. Food is exactly what you'd expect if you've ever had "hole in the wall" takeout before.“

“I moved from NJ a few years ago and one of the things I miss is Eastern empire. Their food was always so tasty, fresh and delicious. I worked nearby so I would go here quite frequently for dinner. I would even go on my days off!! My favorite dish was the Thai dish beef with mushrooms, yummy. I've learned to make it at home but it's not quite there yet, almost. And chicken or shrimp with garlic sauce, wonton soup and hot and sour soup. There was something in their wonton soup that was different than any other I've tasted.. delicious. “Best takeout Chinese food I've found in the area so far. Fantastic white meat sweet and sour chicken, which was crispy with a side of sweet dipping sauce, and great pork fried rice. Szechuan chicken was also very good although a little sweet and comes with a lot more vegetables than meat. They did forget the rice with our order so check the bag.“

A kick, I have never tasted before but was always told it's supposed to be there if the sauce was made right. The chicken was cooked just the way I like it. “This is my 2nd favorite Chinese Buffet. The one that beats it is in Zanesville, Ohio. The food trays are filled/refilled frequently so everything is generally fresh and tasty. “Our GOTO for Chinese takeout. The food is usually very good (occasionally, I’m guessing whoever cooks) it could be a little different than what we’re used to. Their portions are very generous, the service is good and it’s always hot. We’ve been going here for years! I would definitely recommend it for good Chinese takeout.

Parking: It’s in a small shopping center. No problem during the week. But o. Weekends it can be difficult to get a spot nearby.“

“We went on a Friday evening to try this Chinese restaurant. Overall a good experience.
1. We had Wonton soup. This was very good. Instead of the normal thick Wonton wrapper with just a little bit of pork, this soup had 4 dumplings that had a good amount of pork inside a thin rice wrapper. The broth was nice too.
2. Also had the Hot and Sour Soup. It was just okay. Could have been a little more spicy and had more ingredients.
3. The eggroll was good, especially for the price. They give you 2 large rolls for $4. Would have just need 1.
4. I had the Schezwan Duck. It was very good. Maybe it could have had a bit more sauce and be more spicy.
5. My spouse had General Tso's Chicken. Very good.
6. Service was very good. The waiter was very attentive.
So I will come back here. Just need to ask for more spice next time.“

“Liu's Garden has some of the best Chinese food in Central Jersey. They have an expanded menu with nice mixture of meat and vegetarian options. There online ordering is good in capturing most of the menu and allows for additions or changes. There is a small convenience fee for online orders though.“

“Consistently ok Chinese. I've tested them on several items since I moved here recently and it's consistently ok, which is good enough for quick and very local takeout. There is no atmosphere to speak of, and walking in the store is extraordinarily uncomfortable sometimes with the amount of dodgy people who stand in front of the place but I've never had a problem so far and the woman who works there has been very nice.“

“I was super excited to find this place! I think I've seen this place listed as China Place, and I'm glad it showed up on google as Taiwan place. Taiwanese food is unique in it's complexity and history of different ingredients and cooking styles from it's history of colonialism.

I got Oyster Omelette and Taiwanese Meatball (bawan), #1 and #2. The Taiwanese meatball is delicious, and full of the correct ratios of meat and bamboo. It's a tapioca wrap with fillings!

The Oyster Omelette tasted good too, with a sweet orange red tangy sauce. I don't know the name of this sauce, but it's authentic to my time in Taiwan. There was a good amount of oysters in the omelette! The difference was there was more vegetables in it than I expected.
Overall, I wish this place was closer to me and that they were more people visiting this place! From what I've had so far, it's pretty authentic food. I was concerned about the menu being large and the freshness of the ingredients; since it seems like the restaurant is not very busy, but that was not an issue at all.

I didn't have to deal with downloading an app, ordering was a breeze! I gave specific instructions to call me when they arrived at my building so I could buzz them in, and gave them directions to my apartment. Since our landlords fired the Concierge a few years back, getting food delivered to our apartment door has been a nightmare and a near non-occurrence. I was called by the Yummy Yummy delivery person, I buzzed the front door to let them in, and they were literally at my apartment door around 25 minutes after I placed my order. The gentleman was VERY nice, the food was HOT, VERY generous portions and... DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend Yummy Yummy, if I could give 10 starts I would!“
