“I recently visited the District 7 Restaurant & Bar and had an amazing experience. The BBQ chicken wings at the bar were delicious. What stood out the most was the exceptional service provided by Edei, who made the best Old Fashioned cocktails in New Jersey. Highly recommend this place for a great experience!“

“Our first time there but won't be our last. The entrees were excellent. Husband had steak fajitas and said the meat was very tender. I took a taste and it was delicious. I had the pork chop with jasmin rice and it too was delicious.
My only small complaint is that there is no way of knowing this place exists. It is inside the DoubleTree hotel but there are no signs at all. If it wasn't for using Google to find a place to eat, we wouldn't have found it.
Please consider putting up some signs outside. It's got great food, which is hard to find.“

“Haven't set foot inside Docks since 2004 for no other reason than it's a little out of the way from home and I'm not much of a drinker. I've been working in the area again for about a year and wanted to find a local spot to go with some coworkers and figured since it was close, why not try Docks. I happened across a picture of one of their burgers and had to try one since having my gallbladder removed and being able to once again enjoy the occasional bacon cheeseburger. Stopped there tonight with a coworker, got the Houston Burger and let me tell you... it was incredible. Burger was well seasoned and juicy (even though I always order well done) and the bacon was top quality. The prices were fantastic and my coworker said they had one of the best Guinness draughts he's had in a long time. Definitely see it turning into a to-do after work more often.“

“This place is neat! It's also comfy, they have a small patio outside and their food is really good! We went for an event and I kept seeing people picking up pizzas. If I were local, I'd go there for pizza as well. Their bartender was very polite and didn't give me an attitude when I ordered a drink. It's hard for me to remember names, so his patience with my description was very much appreciated. Definitely recommend!“

“This is a perfect example of a tried and true local mom & pop shop serving the local community. Everyone who works here is friendly and knowledgeable. The bar area is enormous and a great place to unwind after a rough day. I even come here with my laptop and work from time to time. And the food is delicious! Sure, places like this won’t have the same vast selection as a Total Wine or Joe Canal, but the owners have always been able to order me anything I need and will even stock it regularly if it gets a following. Come support this wonderful local business, order a cocktail and some wings, and get to know the regular crew on both sides of the bar!“

“Posted up in the center of the pub. Me and these two mad lads started drilling. Ice was about 4 inches and ol' Stout was struggling to breach through the ice. After a few minutes of turmoil he was finally able to break and we heard the glorious rush of the water gushing like a foutian out of the portal to the dark unknown. We stood there conquistadors above a murky gold; fish. We set our thrones upon the ice and readied our rods. Our mouths watering at the thought of the first fish. With bait and hand a glee in our hearts we awaited the first bite. But folks, as everyone knows, fishing isn't about the catch nor the side of the fish. But it's the spot and the friends we make along the way. We caught no fish, not even ol' Stout. But we had a splendid time, and like the conquistadors of old we left with nothing. Oh yea and there's uhh ... darts in the back or something.“

“The night before my wife's 50th high school reunion (North Plainfield, class of 1975), a large group of the attendees went to a pre-party at Ellery's. The pizza served here was pretty good, but it was a little greasy. Besides plain, they offered sausage and a few other styles. The restaurant also served wings and salad, which I passed on. The get together ended with a great selection of fancy cookies, where I really over-indulged.“

“I like this bar a lot because it's close to where I live. Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms and good happy hour specials. 5 jumbo wings for 5 bucks. They were pretty good too. And DJ Moist absolutely kills it on Friday nights with the old school hip hop and rnb. And best of all, it's right near one of the best taco trucks in ktown. “I've been going to the South River Pub for many many years and I used to bartend there as well. It's my hometown bar and I love it. My mom knew the owners and i grew up with their kids and they have become like family. I particularly love karaoke night on Fridays with DJ Rob, who has become a dear friend to me over the years as well. The regulars are fun, kind and caring people and when I go there it feels like family. Like “Cheers.” They don't serve food but you can bring your own if you like. Sometimes for special events and football, Lil will make a little food buffet for the customers. It's always a fun time.“

“This is a decent bar. The service during the day is not the best if you’re not a regular or if you don’t look a certain way. However, it is a lot better in the evening. The evening bartenders tend to be friendlier and more welcoming. I tried to be a regular there but some of the bad service turned me off. Not bad if you go from to time. The drinks were always great. Food is decent but their wings are absolutely amazing. Place has always been organized and clean.“
