“Great atmosphere and delicious food!!!“

“One of my favorite places to get food. Foods always sooooo good and the people are so nice, even when I'm being a little annoying with my 13 people orders (I always get help when I have like 4 bags of foods). As a Muslim it is really hard to find good halal places that won't cost an arm and a leg, and this is is really affordable for the amount of food you are getting. I hope this place never closes. 10/10 would recommend“

“We LOVE Jalapeno and Cilantro! Since they first opened, they have been absolutely wonderful and we have seen no drop-off in any aspect, even as they have become increasingly busier and well-known in the local area.

Service: the staff here are so friendly and accommodating. They check in on your table at just the right cadence throughout your meal service and have always made sure to manage the allergens or dietary needs of our table.

Food: The food options are great! They have some traditional diner staples (pancakes, waffles, french toast, egg platter combos, etc.) along with some great Latin American offerings (enchiladas, burritos, etc.). The portioning is awesome - I never leave feeling hungry and we usually bring home leftovers. The value on the pricing is also incredibly favorable for customers. The standouts from our past dining experiences are the french toast, the hola combo, the breakfast burrito, and their tostadas.

Atmosphere: We love how joyful the atmosphere is every time we come! They regularly decorate for every occasion and holiday and keep the space clean and tidy. The amount of seating is modest so it can get crowded quickly during busier meal times but they turn the tables over in a reasonable amount of time.

Jalapeno and Cilantro is one of the few restaurants that I repeatedly recommend to others without hesitation. I have the utmost confidence that anyone I send there would have a good experience and even better food.“

“I went here tonight for my father’s birthday and the experience overall was wonderful. The staff were so kind and welcoming, our waitress was friendly and engaging, and the food was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try more stuff off the menu. “Creepy Uncle Dave here. Today I went to the Tex Mex Deli in Edison. The food was amazing! I tried a burrito that was out of this world. Apparently this was a new entry to their already sprawling menu. My boss once told me that if I never step out of my comfort zone and try something new I will never taste success. At the time I was pretty sure the only success I was going to taste was the sweat from my forehead seeing as he wanted me to dig a 200 foot trench by hand. Anyway, this was a shredded chicken burrito stuffed to the hilt with chicken, rice and beans, then smothered with MOLE, MOLE, MOLE sauce. Sorry, if you know you know. My coworker had the birria tacos that looked equally amazing. They must have been good seeing as he didn’t even offer a taste. This isn’t a white tablecloth establishment but the food definitely has potential. I’m sold! I’m definitely coming back and I think you should check this place out too. Tell them I sent ya!

Upon realizing what had occurred we drove here and our order was still waiting for pick up; surprisingly still warm enough to eat. I got a burrito box w/ chorizo and added guac, Brussels sprouts & chipotle aioli. Oh my goodness. Delicious! Those brussels were way tasty. Then a bag of chips too. The chips had a hint of lime and lightly salted, so good. Better than chipotles. The bowl was huge; couldn’t finish which made for a great dinner. Can’t wait to come back and keep trying different meats!!“

“I ate at the Monroe store today. I had never been at a Buubakoos before and did not know what to expect. I had the pork burrito and it was off the hook. The place was spotless and the service was spot on. The manager came over and introduced himself as John and asked if everything was satisfactory, and it was more than satisfactory. You would think John was the owner not just the manager, he cared as if was his own business. It was good to see that. I will be back for sure, my new go to place.“

“My order was ready when I got to the restaurant. My meal was prepared exactly as ordered. The food was not hot(just warm). I had to put it in my microwave before eating it. The portion for my grilled chicken bowl was not as large as usual. Everything however, tasted good I will still be ordering from this restaurant again however I will place my order in the store instead of online.“

“The food in this place is really good, the tacos, burritos and homemade Mexican soups are outstanding. The place is a little dated and they have a very small parking lot. I must admit I do have one pet peeve with the beef soup. They put green beans in the soup. Not a fan of that. Other than that the service and people working there are very nice“

What I can say is the food it’s authentic Mexican , so tasty and delicious , I’m not a big fan of spicy foods but this place use enough condiments on their meats , they use jalapeños but if you don’t want them, request not to put them on your food…overall food it’s delicious highly recommend“

“We recently dined at Taste of Mexico and tried the chicken fajitas. The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, and the rice and beans were a great addition to the overall meal. However, I found the portion of chicken to be small, which was a bit underwhelming. Additionally, the vegetables, which are meant to be a side, ended up taking over the plate. While the overall taste was good, a better balance between the chicken and vegetables would have made this a more enjoyable meal. In addition to the chicken fajitas, we ordered the carne enchiladas, which were served along a bed of rice, beans, and a simple green salad. The grilled pork in the enchiladas was marinated well and juicy. The carne complimented the sautéed tomatoes, onions, and jalepeños tenderly filled inside the enchiladas. The carne enchiladas was a well-sized dish and was quite delectable. Now onto the star of the meal... The Tres Leches Cake. The sponge-like cake, soaked in the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream, was a symphony of richness and delight to our taste buds. Despite the prevalence of milk, the dish never felt heavy and continued to be light and luscious till the very last bite.

Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options. Black/pinto beans, rice, guacamole, vegetable platters, vegetable enchiladas.

Parking: Lots of parking behind(free), paid street parking on the main downtown street and, paid parking garage situated behind the Princeton public Library

Kid-friendliness: Great quaint spot, friendly for kids of all ages

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is primarily flat ground with no steps. There is a slight slope which the restaurant is located on, however this is very slight, but just a FYI!“

““I didn't have a reservation, but they seated me immediately and treated me very kindly. The young lady who served us was very patient with the children about the food and an excellent host.” I ordered a Molcajete which was delicious and thanks to the children I even ate fries. I recommend them.“
