My family and I had frequented La Fontana (Strathmere) for over 20 years. What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.
First time dining there and was not disappointed. Small party of three and we were seated 15 minutes before our reservation. Our server Tony, was very efficient and we had a few laughs with him. Food was delightful and service was great. Will definitely dine here again during our next vacation.
Great veal. Gnocchi are fantastic. open all year so I will be making visits outside of summer.
