“My family and I had frequented La Fontana (Strathmere) for over 20 years. What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.“

“All said and done I think this is the best deal on the boardwalk. Their price and food speaks for itself. You order up front and sit down and pick up your food when it comes out. They cut out the wait staff and it’s pretty efficient and also keeps the price down in the end. There’s been a lot of people saying this pizza was the best deal on the boardwalk for the summer of 2026. I finally gave it another chance after trying it many years ago. This place definitely is satisfactory. The only improvement I can suggest is when you serve Pepsi products, Birch beer has to be an option. It’s at just about every other Pepsi serving restaurant on the boardwalk. Birch beer by Pepsi is delicious and quite popular everywhere else and seeing they served Pepsi products and finding out they don’t serve birch beer like every other restaurant that serves Pepsi, was disappointing. But far from enough to keep me from giving less than a 5 star review. The place is pretty darn good in such times and they have definitely improved a lot since my first time there.“

“Last night was our 1st time there, and I must say, it was OUTSTANDING. We had chicken Parm, 9th street chicken, Veal Milanese, and Linguini w/chicken. All dishes had excellent presentation, very hot and huge! Food was delicious. Atmosphere was a bit tight and loud especially if you want to have a conversation, but overall we really enjoyed it. Only quirk is we bought cocktails at bar and was charged &37.00 had the same cocktails at table and was charged $30. What was up with that.
