“Good Portuguese restaurant. Food was delicious, good sangria. Middle range prices. Personally I think it has certain coziness, but it must be because I don’t like that “modern” style/look. A few TV’s one of them really big. Few tables, and bar area. Small bar/restaurant. Service is okay. Only issue with me is that the area is very busy, hard to find parking in the street and yes, you can park on their driveway, which it fits about 6 cars or so, but you have to keep moving your car because you are blocking another person when they leave. Also if you are having a few TV’s on, and music playing as well, the volume for one of them should be lowered. It is a small place to have the TV so loud.“

The woman there was incredibly sweet and gave me a free container of cut watermelon as well. I really like their pizza and have always sung their praises - it’s slightly spicy. Traditional? “My husband and I stopped in on our way to an event in the area based on reviews. It's a very small place with no indoor seating. However the service was friendly and quick and the chicken bao was very good. If we are ever back in the area, I would try more items from their menu.“

Just to be perfectly honest, this place is located in a rather tough area, so keep that in mind when going here. Second time in she was ever kinder, made me feel welcome and appreciated. Hence, why I’m taking the time to write this. She was generous, accommodating; more people should be this way. “Clean and welcoming...I was greeted by the friendly manager at the door who also began searching up my order and packing it.

I was then graciously assisted by the personable and professional Shanyce G. as she knowledgeably answered my questions about menu items while I waited.

I also appreciate the assistance of the person who finished packing my order (this occurred at roughly 11:30 on 10/6/2025...I write this so they get credit but because I also don't like describing people by race and/or perceived gender).

“Been going to Happy Paisa Chicken for decades. Though I’m a pescatarian, I’ve always been satisfied with delicious food. My mom and friends like the chicken meals; I enjoy tostones, salad, rice, yucca, beans (frijoles), green sauce, puffed cheese pastries, and more. Since the 2020’s began, however, there is only the Take-out option; no dine-in.
A word of caution: be careful to park legally on the street; I’ve gotten a couple of parking tickets there over the years.“
