“I went to Dave’s hot chicken I ordered my food didn’t look at it until I got home and got someone else order but I wouldn’t go back because it was a 30 minute drive was upset bout not getting what I paid for.“

Portions are good and the taste really stands out. Not for the faint-hearted, but a must-try for anyone who enjoys serious heat and bold flavours.“

Their fried chickens have a great marinades, which make it messy to eat. I wish they had some wipes or something other than the paper towel/napkin option. This is ideal for dining-in; I don't recommend eating on the go. There's very limited seating, but somehow we snagged a seat. The party who ate before us didn't clean up after themselves... which wasn't very considerate. I ended up throwing up their trash. The staff seemed very busy behind the counter, and never came around to clean the tables. this is very much a takeout-forward place.“

“I got chicken over rice for $12 hands down best deal I’ve had in all of NYC as a foodie. It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! It was truly amazing that I can get chicken,rice,fries(shocking for me) and veggie of choice for only $12 was so impressive. I’m definitely going back.“

“Dropped in for just a snack and got the Crab Rangoons which for some reason I feel are so hard to come by in nyc. These were great! The filling was smooth and had nice flavor, and the dough was very very crispy which is what makes or breaks a rangoon for me so I was happy about that. My only gripe was that the amount of sauce was sooo small and definitely not enough!

Also had a Thai Tea which was not too dense and rich, it was more of a refreshing and lighter, yet still creamy thai tea which was exactly what I needed in the moment so it hit so well.“

“I ordered on Uber eats. because my phone number was wrong I didn’t get my food until an hour later, but they tried to address this issue actively. and though the food turned cold when i got it, it was still quite delicious(quite beyond my expectation!) Appreciate the effort and the delicious chicken. 🙂

Though I think it’s ok to just leave the food at the front door of the building, like hanging on the doorknob and just take a photo. (That might be more of an feedback for the courier)“

“For a place in the middle of a block, it just shines through the chicken was absolutely tender fell off the bone season properly. Had a salad with it. That is an artist beautiful put together did take out which was very fast. The rice beautiful the beans were kidney beans and prepared beautifully. You mix the rice and the beans together and use your spoon and you have a wonderful dish. a chicken is spectacular. Got the Kona cola which is delightful and very hard to get goes very well with the meal. Definitely a must place for everybody to go to much better than the Supermarket chickens. Of course they have many other things on the menu and I’m sure that they were just as equally good come on by say hi and the way we go.“

“Food is good. Especially if you love chicken tenders. But you definitely need the sauce to make complete. Unfortunately service was bad. I hate to say it. No please, thank you and any type of politeness when taking an order or giving your meal. Unfortunately every employee was chatting with another co worker. Food took a very long time to come out. Sadly won't be coming back to Astor. I hope it improves on customer service.“

“Got this as takeout and was impressed. The chicken and corn were the stars of the show. One piece of feedback for the restaurant is that the salsa verde is labeled incorrectly on the menu. After trying the time I realized it’s not salsa verde, it’s Chimichurri.“
