I was very disappointed in this restaurant. I was there last year with some friends and went to the place in Hackensack. I ordered the chicken and Mac cheese. My placed my order, I told them, I DO NOT want ANY spicy at all. I sat down I took a bite of both chicken and cheese. It was so spicy. I bought it back up and I told them, I DIDN'T want spicy food. Fluffies Hot Chicken - LES is a small spot with basic stool and wall counter seating, but the food speaks for itself. The chicken is absolutely banging, crispy, juicy, packed with flavor, and worth making the trip for. The fried chicken is executed beautifully, with a satisfyingly crisp exterior and tender inside. Many call it the best chicken in the city. The half fries / half Mac chopped with spicy chicken is delicious, offering both sides in one dish meal. The atmosphere and service are amazing, with friendly and welcoming staff. However, the macaroni and cheese had a noticeable portion of unpleasantly hard pasta, suggesting insufficient boiling time. Despite this, the establishment has an excellent location and great food. It is always full, with fast and friendly service. This is one of those places where the quality of the cuisine is genuinely admirable. Customers recommend coming here and plan to return often to sample the fries.
