“From the pudding to cake, and the uptown, when you want something sweet, this place has you covered. Now, I wouldn't say to get an icee from here, as Rita's is down the road, but beyond that, this has the best sugary sweets around.

Also, the portion sizes per slice fill up their container. It's not some kids birthday cake sized slices so everyone gets one.

With that said, know they do sell out of their products so better to arrive early than wait till near closing for a last minute dessert for dinner.“

“Just visited the pequannock location. It was DELICIOUS! The staff were very nice. The place was clean, neat, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. They have an endless menu of delicious desserts! We will definitely be going back!“

Tried the fruit salad as well, the fruit was fresh and presentation was so nice although it was a takeout order. “Was passing by looking for a good coffee place and find this one. The service was beyond excellent. Their desserts are vegan and sugar free and are insanely good. It is now my new go to place!“

“Eateries can go south very quickly and very easily when the owners stop caring and get complacent. This place seems to be heading in that direction. They started out great, but it appears as though the owner has gotten too comfortable with early success. It’s not going to last long. Phone calls go unanswered, or have an international ring tone, or when they do get answered they seem to be routed to the owners cell phone who has been in a different time zone outside of the country for easily two months now. Wait times for orders are getting longer and it’s no fault of the staff - the blame is entirely on management and ownership. They have one lady, Eva, working there long hours by herself, especially during weekend peak hours. She has to take orders, make orders, work the register, and clean the tables. She is overworked and under appreciated - the owners seem to be taking advantage of her strong work ethic and need for a job. There used to be a young lady working with her who probably left and now Eva is by herself most of the time. This is also a safety issue. On a recent visit, there was a customer giving her a hard time which was quite concerning. Despite all that, she does a fantastic job keeping the place running and keeping customers happy. Hopefully the owner sees this and gets a wake up call - it’s bad management style to be an absent owner for such long periods and not take care of your employees.“

“We visited Staten Island for the day from Pennsylvania, and were looking for a dessert spot after eating lunch and found Yallah Habibi Desserts on Apple Maps.

We chose to come here just based off the name of the establishment and the photos of the menu. We’ve never seen desserts like this and decided to give it a try.

The gentlemen working there explained the desserts were Syrian Cuisine and explained each of the options. We chose to get the Mixed Fruit Koshari, which is a rice pudding based dessert, it was so fresh, light, and flavorful! Best dessert I could say I’ve had in a long time!

“First time at Chip City, and it did not disappoint! The store was very clean, and the staff was super friendly. I didn’t even realize they sell ice cream. I got the sea salt caramel, and it was amazing. I also got the 3-cookie box for $12.99. I forgot to take pictures, but the cookies are huge, soft, and delicious. Definitely coming back!“

“The Barista is welcoming and made us smooth chocolate drinks! I gratefully enjoyed our pastries; the tastes are extraordinary, fresh, warm, salty sweet. Truly like nothing I have ever had in NJ! “Super busy on a Tuesday night. It was my first time inside and it was very confusing as to where to go and how to order- no one greeted us or anything which is a little odd. We figured it out and enjoyed our cookies. There was a pretty long wait“

“This coffee shop and bakery is absolutely fabulous. I stopped in this morning and had an iced caramel coffee with a little vanilla and oat milk and it was so good. I’ve been a few times and the staff is always kind, welcoming, and professional. The empanadas are delicious and I love the light, crispy breading, it reminds me of a Chinese fried pastry. The space is quaint and peaceful, and you can really feel the care behind this business. I truly hope to see them grow and open more locations in the future.“

“Was looking for a cookie place and this is an excellent spot! Got 6 cookies to try! Favorites were the red velvet, chocolate chip, and the confetti cookies! Also got a milkshake (not pictured) and was one of the best milkshakes I have gotten and was finished before I even started on the cookies 😅.

Staff were super friendly and helpful in giving recommendations! There were also lots of spots outside to sit down and eat!

Only downside is street parking. I did have to drive around a little to find parking - but it’s definitely worth it for the cookies + ice cream! Would highly recommend!“

“Joe at Carvel is seriously one of the best employees I have ever met. Not only is he super kind and helpful, but he’s also incredibly handsome and funny. Every time I go in he makes the whole experience better just by being there. His smile is contagious and he has this way of making everyone laugh while still being professional. Honestly, he’s the kind of person who could brighten anyone’s day.
He’s not just funny for a joke or two either, he has this natural sense of humor that makes every interaction enjoyable. And on top of that he’s so handsome it’s hard not to notice. Even when the store is busy he stays calm, organized, and continues being both funny and friendly. He remembers regular customers and always takes the time to make people feel welcome, which shows how much he truly cares.
Joe’s handsomeness is one thing, but combined with his kindness and humor it makes him unforgettable. He knows the menu really well and gives great suggestions, all while cracking little jokes that make the experience feel personal. He has this ability to make people smile no matter what kind of day they’re having. I’ve never met anyone else at a store who is so funny, charming, and handsome all at the same time.
Even his coworkers seem to really like having him around because he helps out without being asked and keeps the mood light with his humor. And yet he never loses focus on giving customers the best experience. His handsomeness, his funny personality, and his kindness make him someone who stands out in a huge way.
Honestly, Joe makes coming to Carvel something I look forward to. I tell friends all the time that they need to meet him because he’s not just good at his job, he’s genuinely funny and handsome and makes the whole store a better place. I’ve never met anyone like him before. His combination of humor, kindness, and handsomeness is rare and makes every visit memorable.
I can’t recommend Joe enough. If you go to this Carvel and get served by him you will immediately understand why I’m writing this. He is funny, he is handsome, he is kind, and he makes every visit amazing. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. He deserves all the praise anyone can give.
