“So glad someone recommended this place to my wife and I! It's in a strip mall but the inside is well-decorated and very clean. The menu is interesting, with both spicy and non-spicy options. We had one of the evening's specials, shrimp dumplings, as well as the Salmon Prik and the Drunken Noodles. All three were excellent. Also ordered the appetizer sampler - good but not up to the high standard of the other dishes. Ended the meal with fried bananas and vanilla ice cream. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We brought our own wine (love BYOB's) and ended the meal well below $100. Go support this place!“

“I have been SCOURING New Jersey for Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and this small kitchen DELIVERED! I got the Chicken Drunk Noodles and they are perfection.

I walked in, and its a very small and cozy shop. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and attentive. The aroma was like a cartoon character being led by a window-sill pie. I finally got my bag and had to hold it exclusively at the top with how hot and fresh these noods were.

Got home and absolutely demolished them. Perfect spice, incredible flavor, and even the chicken microwaves nicely for leftovers. This will definitely be a regular spot for me going forward. Thank you Sukho Thai for Drunk Noodles without driving an hour 🥹“

“Tee,the owner was so nice to us. It was my wife's birthday and she gave her some ice cream and pastry. Also to my son and I. The ice cream had a coating to it so I don't know the proper name. The Tad Phai was excellent along with the veggie and pork rolls. Next time we are trying the red and green Curry. This is a must visit. Don't let the size of the restaurant fool you.“

“There is not a more satisfying mall food court pad thai than the dish my partner and I order from Thai Max. We've tried their pad thai, egg rolls, coconut shrimp, mixed vegetables, spicy chicken, bbq chicken, and fried banana and it's all been fresh, hot, and delicious.

Is it the same Thai food that one could expect from a standalone restaurant? Absolutely not!

But if there's a craving for cheap, fast, fresh, and hot Thai food... Thai Max will satisfy.

Portion sizes are absolutely huge. The pad thai is always made fresh on the wok while we wait.

We've been to Thai Max at various times of the year - the busy Christmas season, a slow Monday morning in the springtime - and regardless of the level of traffic at the mall, Thai Max is solidly consistent.“

“The food??? AMAZING!! The chicken wings got so much flavor and the rice is perfectly seasoned not too much not too little. Now my favorite thing??? That shrimp tempura poke bowl is AMAZINGGG. I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“

“we ordered delivery from Asian chef tonight, and when I got my order (bento box with salmon teriyaki, rice, shrimp shumai, and cucumber avocado roll). Instead of salmon, I ended up receiving shrimp teriyaki. I wasn’t going to call but I figured I may as well just let them know- the employee who answered the phone was so nice and apologetic, and immediately offered to bring me the correct protein that I ordered. I accepted the offer and asked if he wanted me to return the untouched shrimp order, but he said to keep it! then, I expected them to just deliver me the salmon to add to the meal, but they brought me an ENTIRE other bento box with the salmon! “Been living in SJ for 10+ years and this is still my go to Chinese takeout and dine in. The comments here are so mean and after reviewing some recent ones… well Covid have happened it doesn’t help that the country itself is filled with mostly ungrateful Americans. The food is still good, there has been some changes but I never had problems with this place. Probably because I am also respectful and you receive what you give I guess. The place can use some upgrades and upkeeping but before you hurt a business, ensure you reflect how you are treating workers. It is hard out here and businesses themselves are just trying to thrive and make it back from Covid years.
