“Small dunkin shop inside convenience store, been there a few times and is always well staffed, they get your order pretty quick and right, even at 6 in the morning. A couple of small tables to eat in. A few parking spots and obviously, no drive-thru.“

“I tried a coquito latte! Very delicious. Barista was super nice and sweet. They allow you to choose between two coffees for your espresso; I had the “rum”, which is what the barista recommended with the drink I chose. I did not try the food, so I can’t comment on that. Overall experience was great!“

“Cute coffee shop tucked away in the East Village. While the Iced Vietnamese Coffee comes pre-batched, the staff will happily adjust the sweetness for you! The drink is a lot more milk-forward, with the coffee flavor playing a background role as it wasn't intense. Drink is on the pricier side at ~$7, but I understand they use premium ingredients such as organic condensed milk?
They are laptop friendly so the limited seating gets snapped up quickly. A bit chaotic on the weekends given how small the space is but I imagine this to be a quiet retreat during off-peak hours. Also a heads up that there's no restroom!“

“The rum infused espresso is to die for… Even as a coffee enthusiast this is not something I’d seen before but it definitely made for a cool experience and made it feel like more than just your typical cafe.
Never been to a coffee shop where the staff are so friendly, genuinely left a bit shocked after having been asked to have our photo taken for the instagram!
We had a couple of the chicken empanadas too and would highly recommend!“

“This is our and our friends’ favorite brunch spot — the food, the service, the interior, every detail perfectly reflects the spirit of this place. The owner puts his heart into it, goes above and beyond to deliver top quality, and has built a deep connection with the neighborhood over the years. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place with soul and real dedication.“

“This cafe is so lovely. I had the pleasure of Desi and Aida assisting me with my order. They made the most delicious soy chai with amazing foam. Their desserts were amazing as well. It was refreshing to be greeted with such positive and friendly energy in New York. I can't wait to come back when I am in the area. Make sure to come to this cafe if you want a lovely experience and great food and drinks!“

“Frisson is a tiny nook with friendly energy. The barista greeted us with a smile, walked the girls through their iced matcha, and nailed the drinks quickly. I ordered a flat white, hoping for a light roast, but medium was the only option on bar. It was smooth and chocolate-leaning with perfectly textured milk, just not the bright profile I usually chase.
Space is tight so more grab-and-go than sit-and-stay…so don’t count on lingering for long. Still, the warm service and solid execution make it an easy four-star stop when you need a quick coffee fix in the neighborhood.“

“Coffee Project in the East Village is a small, modern spot with a Euro-café vibe (bonus points for the no-laptop policy). Their medium-roast blend—Colombia meets Guatemala—hits a sweet spot: smooth milk-chocolate body with a caramel finish, zero bitterness, and plenty of flavor.
I ordered an almond croissant, and the staff offered to pop it in the oven. It came out crisp outside, soft and fragrant inside—no sogginess. They even let us enjoy a couple of pastries we’d picked up elsewhere at their outdoor table, all with genuine warmth.
Friendly people, thoughtful touches, and a medium roast I’d gladly order again. Perfect coffee-and-pastry stop in the neighborhood.“

“This place is such a hidden gem!! I came by here to work with a laptop. I love the atmosphere and healthy options to choose from. The wifi was fast so I felt productive working here. I got Clarity juice, which contains lime, celery, cucumber and spinich. It tasted really fresh and refreshing! I can tell they use fresh ingredients for sure. The barista lady in the morning was very kind and courteous as well. I highly recommend this place! :)“

“A charming little café that’s pure joy for coffee lovers craving something creative, cozy, and truly unique. Nestled on Elizabeth Street in the heart of Chinatown, Köre Coffee blends traditional Korean flair with artisanal café favorites.
Their signature tiramisu lattes—whether the classic, matcha, or black sesame Tahni version—are a delightful twist on dessert-in-a-cup and are consistently praised as rich, creamy, and balanced. The black sesame latte is a standout—savory, subtly sweet, and velvety smooth.
Pair any drink with their croffles—a buttery hybrid of croissant and waffle—offered in flavors like strawberry tiramisu or savory cheese and bacon. The everything bagel croissant filled with savory cream cheese is another local favorite that blends comfort and surprise.
Inside, seating is limited—more cozy grab‑and‑go than café lounge—but the friendly staff and quick service make the experience still feel warm and inviting. Despite their compact size, many visitors leave with a full belly and a happy heart.
While prices are on the higher side (most specialty drinks hover around $8), the quality, creativity, and charm make every dollar feel well spent.
⸻
Why it captured our hearts:
• Inventive drinks that feel like mini dessert experiences
• Unique pastries—croffles, everything-bagel croissant
• Friendly, artful service (NK Kim and family-run vibe)
• Perfect Chinatown location with handcrafted atmosphere
Whether you grabbed a tahini black sesame latte, matcha tiramisu, or a warm croffle, Köre Coffee offers something memorable for first-time visitors and seasoned coffee adventurers alike.“

“I was looking for something for breakfast, notice it was next to my hotel, figured I would try it out.
Foods good, but EXPENSIVE! I forgot how expensive things can be in Manhattan
Loved the vibe of the place, but I felt rushed to order. Went for the experience, food is amazing no doubt-prices are just too pricey for me. Think I’ll stick with local coffee shops back home.“

“I had a friend come in from the Midwest & needed quick breakfast. We came across Chinos as an option & decided to try due to amazing reviews. This place is easily accessible, spacious, extremely clean, organized etc... plenty of food options available. Menu was affordable. Customer service was fantastic & above/beyond. I've never been served food directly to the table at spots like this. Typically they call you up to the counter to take it. Great experience & would most definitely return when back in the area.
Btw those drinks are better than Starbucks! If they had a separate location just for drinks & pastries... I would most definitely be there. #supportsmallbusiness“

“Just came for a quick coffee break and ended up loving this place! Quiet, clean, spacious, and aesthetic cafe. Delicious bakery items (recommend the raisin pastry and chocolate croissant!) and coffee. Really lovely service! Plus, they display the train schedule on a TV so it's perfect for chilling while you wait for your train. And pastries are 50% off past 4pm :)“

“Tried a dirty chai here for the first time—perfectly balanced with coffee, spice, and not too much milk. Cozy, plant-filled space with a warm, no-laptop vibe. Small, intimate seating and run by a passionate owner who makes even the syrups in-house. Great selection of coffee, niche teas like genmaicha, and very fair prices for NYC. A real gem!“

“I live in the area and attend college out of town so getting to the library on my off days is tough. I've been looking for a place with a chill ambiance, wifi, good tea, and coffee. Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. I totally recommend this place if you have similar needs or just want to hang out with some friends. I will surely be going back.“

“Our favorite coffee shop in Hells Kitchen and favorite cortado in New York. We've been in the neighborhood for 2 years and my wife is a coffee freak and has determined they make the best coffee in the neighborhood.
Also I'm partial to the owners aesthetic - the branding is "Acid", and there are some funny references throughout the store including a photo from the Tim and Eric show.“

“I had the Taylor ham, egg, and cheese with hash browns on an everything bagel from DB Breakfast and wow, it was absolutely amazing. The sandwich was perfectly balanced: crispy hash browns, flavorful Taylor ham, and gooey melted cheese all stacked between a fresh, toasted everything bagel. Every bite was packed with flavor and satisfaction.
If you’re looking for a next-level breakfast sandwich that hits all the right notes, this one is it. Highly recommend.“

“Delicious spot for a cozy lunch. It gets packed on the weekends with long waits so I highly recommend coming in off hours or during the weekday. Vibe is coastal beach. Reminds me of the seaside beaches on Cali.
Their strawberry matcha latte was fantastic. Not super sweet for those that need a break from overly sweet drinks.
Food was good, came out really quickly. Staff was really nice and was able to accommodate our toddler with a high chair.“
