“My wife and I from New Orleans visited NYC and stayed a block away from Rudy's. We are so happy we stumbled upon this awesome establishment. Every employee, the hot dogs, ambience, prices, location, customers, and every in-between was spot on. We visited 4 times in the evening after sight seeing and it was the highlight of our day. Keep up with the first class job everyone is doing!“

“Good, clean bar super close to George Washington Square …. Excellent barman and wide selection of drinks. We had buffalo wings and mozzarella bites for snacks. Wings were cooked well with a decent blue cheese dip. Would recommend stopping in if you fancy a drink.“

“Great Place People are always friendly“
“Pleasantly surprised here, mostly bcuz in my 50s, going to these small clubs is hit or miss, but the age of the crowd was a good mix. We came to see our friends band. Musically, what was playing overhead before the bands came on was not my thing, but 80s metal isn't what was on stage so I guess it was to be expected. Drinks are cheap, bathroom was clean, can't complain. Everdawn rocked! Way to go to my hubby's crew of friends“

“Spent many an afternoon here in the 90's enjoying pints of Guinnes with friends. Moved from NYC, but returned on Wednesday 4/10 to drink with a friend. Amazing to find that the music, pints and friendly atmosphere and service hadn't changed.“

“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“
“Great service and nice environment :)“
“What an awesome spot. Felt like I was in the basement of some 70s sitcom character. Truly one of the best curated atmospheres of any dive bar I’ve been to in the city! Also, gotta love the super affordable drinks in a not-so-affordable part of Manhattan.“
“If you enjoy a cozy atmosphere, this place is perfect for you. The beverages were affordable and came in a great variety. A major perk is the coat check service, which is uncommon in modern nightlife. I would definitely return to this venue—it was an absolute pleasure!“

“This is the kind of bar that u see on an adam sandler movie where the music is great ppl playing darts the bar tender is cool as hell theres an american flag and the background and everyone is just getting along! Oh and try the wings and thank me!! LolWill be back!“
“This is the one of the last remaining true dive bars in Hoboken. I like to come here once all the other bars in the area get too crowded. Never a line to get in here, even on the weekends. No frills bar with no food. But, beers are reasonably priced and there is a digital jukebox where you can play anything you like. The bartender was friendly and service was good.“

“Been a long time since I had a beer with the Dillon boys and my Valley friends!“
“I must say I don't write much reviews on bars and the such but this one here my goodness I just had to because of the exceptional service and good natured and hospitable nature of the Bartender there by the name of Brian. He made such an impression to his golden smile, his positive down-to-earth demeanor, his outstanding communication made you feel like he was not only your server/bartender but also your best friend, your therapist, and a loving Father/ and or brother relative however. Brian puts the cozy in the Cozy Tavern with his exceptional sevice and warm gentle personality that would make any atmosphere feel cozy and make anyone feel at home. All to cheers to Brian ?“

“Bartender was in her 20s and friendly in a cool old school way. She actually talks to folks and seems to enjoy her job (unlike a lot of the younger crowd these days). It’s a cool looking dive spot inside. I recommend.
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Not that they are mean but just not a place for a kid.“

“Great atmosphere.. a fun time and super friendly staff :) would recommend“
“We go there at least every month. Sometimes more often. This is the only bar I will go to. The owner who is a wonderful man knows how to run his business. He's so friendly to everyone and is always making sure everyone is taken care of. Also his staff is another amazing person. She is on top of everything at all times. The people who come there are usually the same faces and that's what makes this family feel like home. If there is one bar I would recommend it's definitely Colonial.“

“One of the few classic nyc dive bars left. Been here on a few nights. Saturday nights can get pretty packed, it's usually the same green haired bartender working. Just her. Yet she makes sure every one has a drink, with very little time waiting. She has the perfect demeanor needed to deal with rude customers that stroll on through thinking they're going to come hang out in the EV like it's second season of the Jersey Shore. Get the F outta here. Lucky is a real-life fun time.“

“Every burger comes with a side of pride and history. Love this place. . So glad it’s been a slate-wart(hate that word). The drinks are good. Reasonably priced (all things relative) and they make a mean burger. If you go at prime time it will be packed so place ur food order early! And try and belly up at the bar. That is where you get to see all the action take place“

I ordered the fish from yeh special menu, we ordered other food from the regular menu. Every dish was par excellence. The service was second to none. “Very fun place, food was great & the drinks were awesome! Plus they have an outdoor area which was really cool...
Parking: The parking was horrible, during the day you have to try & find a spot & pay meter but after 6pm you still have to find parking but you don't have to pay meter.“

“Easily my #1 go-to neighborhood bar. There are different vibes and crowds at different days/times, but the stand out for me is the set of regulars and interesting characters that come through in the afternoon. The mix of wizened, wild, and weird is so much about what I love about the East Village and you really never know what you're going to get when you strike up a conversation at 7B. There's only a handful of places like this left in the city and very few with as much history.“

“NOW THATS A DIVE ??
If you love drinking, you’re gonna love Iggy’s. My buddy and I went here the other day and holy moly did we indulge ourselves. The beer flowed freely and the conversations were good!!…until they weren’t.
Later in the evening my buddy express some political beliefs that were really telling and, unfortunately, are grounds to cut him off. So in a lot of ways, Iggys is a sad place for me. But at least it’s one of the most fun sad places I have.
Thanks. Keep it up.
Kid-friendliness: Nope. It’s a bar. 21 plus“

“A real dive bar, not a wanna-be dive bar! We went to The Library on a recent Friday night and it reminded me of the way most of the bars in the East Village used to be many years ago. If you like 80s and 90s alternative and punk music, you will never find a better juke box. Don't change anything, please!“
“The best spot in NYC. No matter where you are, where you come from, where ever this is it. Good people, good times. Jen will make your night. 666/10“
