“Been a while since we went to Axton’s, but my wife and I will be celebrating 30 years this week, we thought we’d start with a fine dinner WTH Chef Anton. Early on a Sunday during the summer was far from their busy time, so we had a chance to chat. For starters, we shared an apple mango salad. Shame on me for not reading the menu. The dressing is apple mango. Home made! I was looking for mango in the salad. Apple, craisins, two kinds of cheese…. Perfect for a hot July day. My wife ordered the shrimp marinara over spinach instead of pasta. Delicious and even more impressive was that the shrimp had their tails removed. A great touch. The piece de resistance was my scallop special. Scallops topped with Crabcake coating topped with bacon. Served over a bed of spinach with cherry tomatoes and more. My wife called it spectacular. I thought it was a taste of heaven. Couldn’t figure out one taste in the sauce. Originally thought mango, but there was none in the salad. Had to ask if it was peach? Mango was the winner. The dish was a bigger winner!“

“Excellent place, I have pretty much given up on buying lunch out because the disappointment ratio has become so high but today I decided to give it another try and just deal with the disappointment of another overpriced less than good sandwich. I work all over northern NJ and it has become very hard to find a real Italian deli however, today I stopped into Angelina's and although I already knew what I wanted I decided to ask what they recommend incase there was a special or maybe they have a best seller. They recommended "the Salvatore" which was exactly what I was after. The sandwich was the correct size and packed full of cold cuts. They didn't do the usual "let's keep making the product smaller but charge more" that you see everywhere. They make a true sandwich and charge a reasonable price. if you look up Italian deli in the dictionary there should be a picture of Angelina's its exactly what anyone who is over 40 years old remembers as a true New Jersey Deli. Thank you for a great lunch! I can't wait to get another job in that area so I can stop in!“

“Every time we go to Lavagna, the owner and his staff are always gracious and accommodating. This past weekend, my family and I were looking for a place to go after my Mom's wake. It was after 8:00 pm and we thought we would try Lavagna, knowing that they may not be able to accommodate the 12 of us as is was late and Friday's are usually very busy. We asked and they went out of their way to seat us as close as possible and served us with a smile even with two picky kids in tow. The food was delicious, as always. “This place is TOP SHELF. Went twice this past week and honestly feel there is NO place in the area that comes remotely close to this restaurant! I moved from Bergen County and until now, could not find that rare combination of quality food, CLEAN and attentive , personable staff. The seafood is AMAZING. We were able to arrive early to decorate our party area that already looked very nice without our decorations. We picked off their standard party menu but they had no problem tweaking it to our requests. Last minute requests for pasta and butter for kids was no problem. “Has been our favorite restaurant for quite a few years. I LOVE their Veal Chop (I've had close to 100 over the years!!) and if i stray and go to pasta, the Wild Mushroom Ravioli has one of the best sauces you'll ever taste. My friend loves the Lasagna, various Chicken dishes and this time, she said the Orechiette alla Maria was so delicious! We've been starting with the Hot Antipasto for Two to get a taste of varied favorites (but they let us substitute NO mussels for extra clams). The Caesar Salad is always crisp and tasty. The service is outstanding and friendly with ample busboys delivering the extras and cleaning the table. We should also mention the super-friendly hostesses who start your meal off with a very positive note. Thank you all for an all-around enjoyable evening time and time again!“

Good: clams and mussels in white wine garlic sauce, pan seared scallops with rigatoni
Meh: house salad

The pork Braciole was very unique but the meatballs and gnocchi were a little too soft for it to be perfect.

The clams and mussels were tasty and the sauce was thickened and was delicious on the bread.

The scallops were sliced thinly and ended up being a little overcooked.

Fettuccine Alfredo in my opinion the noodles were too thin to hold up to the thick sauce but it was the favorite of others.“

“They are a great company to work with and I love the awning. We ended up needing an awning that extended out 13' as we we recently installed a new deck that gets a lot of sun. I found a bunch of awnings that extended out 10', but the longer awnings were harder to come by. I found some, but I was not confident. I ended searching the internet, found Alutex, they came by and we ironed out exactly what I needed. The awning is a roof mounted 20' x 13'. The awning makes the deck such a nicer space now as when we have people over in the summer the sun won't beat down on us. You'll be happy with this company as they care about their customers and product.“

“This is a classic New Jersey pizzeria. Owner is very nice. The workers are very nice and one thing I noticed about this restaurant is they are very, very clean, which says a lot nowadays. I’ve had different slices throughout the years and it’s always good today. I tried the buffalo slice. This one was pretty good. There was a lot of cheese on it and when they make their buffalo slice, they have the tomato sauce with it so it depends on your preference. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area next time.“
