Pets are welcomed, which I found out when a cute poodle walked in and jumped on the couch. There is a parking lot, which is a huge bonus in NB. My only issue is that sometimes this place is too busy xD. It’s super popular and frequented by Rutgers students, so finding a table and navigating around the tables may be hard :(.I didn’t see any Iranian/Persian sweets or specials but I guess I wasn’t looking closely enough.“

“My husband and I love Flounder! We live about 10 minutes away and enjoy visiting year-round. There is a delicious selection of unique beers and some Flounder-brewed sodas, which is great for my NA husband. We love playing the many board games, listening to the great live bands, chatting with the regulars (everyone is so nice), and generally enjoying the rustic chic atmosphere. In the warmer months, Carriage House Farm usually hosts a food truck so you can enjoy fresh food at the brewery. Definitely recommend!“
“Yo I don't know what they put in dem eggs but damn, that chili eggs dish was masterful. It hands down one of my favorite bites at a restaurant. I certainly see what the hype is about and can't wait to go back and try other items. Ok, so why a 4 instead of a 5? Well, here's the thing. It's hard to be both a cafe and a restaurant. Seating is first come, first served so you have to stand there and wait for seats to come available and then rush over before someone else gets there. I've seen places that have the cafe ambiance operate like restaurants to make it a better customer experience. Restaurant may want to consider adding more tables for busier times (weekends and Holidays) and put out the couches and chairs during lighter foot traffic. Also, you can allow for those who are in the cafe area or getting an order to go come up to the counter and order while those who want to sit at a table be seated and waited on. The experience was disorienting until we actually were at a table and then it was great from there. We almost left because it was so crowded and couldn't find a table but in Jersey good eateries are hard to come by. Overall, you will have an amazing experience during non-peak hours because the food a great and the staff were friendly. However, during peak hours can be a bit of a hassle due to finding seating.“

“My wife and I have come to fresh tiki bar several times now. I have had their soft serve vanilla which is out of this world. As well as their Italian cookie which if you like Italian rainbow cookies you owe it to yourself to try at least once. The place is fairly small inside but it does have outdoor seating. The menu is a good size for an ice cream place, they don't have 5 million flavors but when the number gets that high they often get real weird. The fun flavors they do have seam limited and on a rotation, but I think this allows them to provide a higher quality product from what I've had. I'm fairly certain this is a husband and wife team and I have only dealt with the wife, but she is always very friendly and has a general chipper demeanor.This is a great place for a small date night treat or to take the kids and get a little ice cream.“

“Best soft serve I have ever had!!! Honestly... I can't say enough good things about this place. To say I was pleasantly surprised I'd an understatement. I got a soft serve swirl with cookie dough bites and it was delicious. The ice cream is perfectly creamy, and the vanilla had an almost marshmallow-y taste to it. It also sort of reminded me of the cream inside an Oreo. Perfectly balanced between creamy and cold- it didn't taste watered down or too "Icy". My mom and my 16 month old also agreed. (Ok, my mom agreed. My son was a fan but he doesn't quite understand just how good it was yet.) My son didn't finish his, so we brought it back with us to upstate NY. Yes, it was good enough to save in the freezer at our hotel and then to shlep back home so I could enjoy one more time. And also so my husband could try it since I couldn't stop raving about it. We have had to order gluten free bread on many occasions from California because that was the only good one we could find, so to have an even BETTER one available right here in NJ is such an unexpectedly amazing find. It is so hard to find fresh, soft gf sour dough bread and if you’re gluten free you know how amazing it is to finally find something that is actually delicious and tastes like bread!
