“I went with my daughter on Sept. 9th to celebrate my birthday and it was an amazing experience. Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!“

“We had a less than great experience about a year ago. The room was crowded and loud. It deterred from our first experience. We decided to give it another try but to our surprise this was TOTALLY different! We were in a smaller room and the noise level was extremely acceptable. The food and service was delightful. I wish I knew the name of the room as we'd love to return and reserve a table within those walls.“

“Went here for the first time last nite would definitely recommend if you want a delicious steak ! I had the ribeye with mushrooms and my son had the strip with blue cheese and fried onions ( god that was amazing ) No frills type of place except for the yummy sangria Can’t wait to return and wish I could post my videos to show you steak sizzling on the plate“

The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and professional. And the food? Simply outstanding. Every dish, from perfectly cooked steaks to delicious sides, was exceptional. Our waiter Artie was amazing. A huge thank you to the team for going above and beyond, despite wanting to close early because of the snow, they welcomed us graciously and provided amazing service. If you’re looking for a steakhouse that truly values its guests, Black Bull is the place to be!“

“Grew up going to the Nutley location and now they're in Fairfield. I swear on their Ribs but they have a fantastic beer list with great local options and awesome happy hour specials for drinks and apps ( highly recommend prime rib Sliders). Met family for dinner the other night and got the "Baby Spinach" Salad with steak added and the steak was cooked perfectly and every ingredient was fresh. Huge menu that could accommodate pretty much anyone. Great stop in the area.“
